STEALTH yachts hysucat ®

The HYdrofoil SUpported CATamaran (HYSUCAT) is a catamaran hull equipped with a

hydrofoil system between the demi-hulls which carries a part of the craft’s weight at

speed.

This development reflects 30 years of Professor Karl-Gunter Hoppe’s research before

and while employed by the University of Stellenbosch, as Senior Lecturer in Fluid Me-

chanics and Marine Engineering.

The efficient load carrying capability of the hydrofoil system combined with the inher-

ent stability and pleasant seakeeping properties of the planing catamaran result in a

most economical high speed surface craft with excellent seakeeping behaviour. The

specific hull design is an asymmetrical catamaran hull with a centre-pod rounded tun-

nel, with the foils fitted midship and aft.

The vessel appears only slightly beamier than a comparable mono hull without the

cumbersome aesthetics commonly associated with catamarans, the best of both

worlds.

The STEALTH 380 escape is the basic model of the STEALTH 380 range,

specifically designed with the excursion operator in mind who is

looking to provide anexilirating experience.

This unique vessel has the ability of carrying up to 40 passengers to remote beach locations neveraccesed in this manner before.

Special features offered include a Beach Access Ramp.
