DRUNKS AND THIEVES 2021 PART 9

November 9, 2021

By John Hoffmann

STEALING BOOZE WITH YOUR BACKPACK: On July 29, 2019 at 8:06pm security at

Sam’s Club in Chesterfield Valley watched a store member (customer) go to the liquor

department and put a $49 bottle of Grey Goose Vodka and a $46 bottle of Woodford

Reserve Bourbon in his backpack.

The man kept shopping and selected some peaches and spice which he took to the self

checkout, but not before store security called the Chesterfield Police. When the suspect

had paid for his peaches and spice and then left the store he was stopped by

Chesterfield Police Officer Johanna Flushing after he left the store. Officer Flushing is

not someone to mess with as she was featured on NBC’s America Ninja TV Show.

Officer Flushing identified the thief as Charles Dominic Harris, 27 years old of Royal

Crest Court in Chesterfield. Harris told Officer Flushing the two large bottles of liquor in

his backpack were his from his house that he carried into the store.

Since store security had a video of Harris stealing the booze he then offered to pay for

it. This didn’t work. He was taken to the security office of the store. Harris had no prior

criminal arrests or citations, plus he was a Chesterfield resident. He was then released

from Sam’s Club on a summons for stealing and never went to the police station to be

fingerprinted or photographed.

OUTCOME: On January 28, 2020 before COVID-19 created a national pandemic,

Harris pled guilty in Chesterfield Municipal Court. He was represented by a lawyer from

Chesterfield so of course he did not get convicted of a crime. He pled guilty to a Health

Code Violation and was fined $216 for something he did not do.

Harris had played this game before. In 2014 he hired a local lawyer and had three

moving violations in St. Ann turn into Parking Violations.

CHESTERFIELD POLICE MAKE A RETURN VISIT FOR A SECOND ARREST FOR

DOMESTIC ASSAULT: The first call occurred on March 26, 2020. The second call

and second arrest happened on December 3, 2020 at 5pm when neighbors heard

breaking glass and a man yelling “call the police” at a Condo in the 800 block of

Coalport.

Chesterfield Officers Devin Kitrel, Ryan Broeker and Celia Saaverda responded in

December.

Officer Kitrel Officer (now Det) Broeker Officer Saaverda

On arrival Officer Kitrel contacted the male of the relationship that had produce a child,

Lorenzo Gordon. He patted down Gordon and immediately found a 9mm handgun in

his pocket, which was seized.

Gordon stated they he and Williams) returned home and there was a package at the

front door address to him. His live-in girlfriend, Brittany Williams immediately began

demanding for him to tell her who the package was from. He wasn’t saying.

He went upstairs with the package and then returned downstairs as she followed and

began throwing glasses and wine bottles that broke on the floor. He said she slipped,

fell and hit her head on the refrigerator causing an injury.

Of course the girlfriend, Brittish Williams had a very different account of things. This is

from the police report:

It was also determined that she had the laceration on her forehead.

The officers determined that Gordon was the aggressor. He was arrested. He was held

at the police department for three hours and then released on a citation for Domestic

Assault.

This was the first visit for the Chesterfield Police involving the pair.

On Wednesday March 25, 2020 at about 10PM police were called to their Condo at 800

block of Coalport Drive (in Gordon’s name). This time the girlfriend had an injured lip.

She reported that Gordon had struck her. The argument was over another women. The

victim had left the apartment for two days after an earlier argument to cool down.

Gordon was again arrested for Domestic Assault.

Lorenzo Gordon

OUTCOME: The March Domestic Assault was reduced to Peace Disturbance. Gordon

pled guilty on 02/08/21 and was fined $170.

Also on 02/08/21 he pled guilty to another amended charge from Domestic Assault in

December to Peace Disturbance and was fined another $170.

Gordon has a number of civil actions against him including a $6,770 judgment owed to

his Condo Association, but he had no other criminal cases of any kind.

Gordon who had played professional basketball in Europe and British Williams (the

victim) have been featured on television shows Basketball Wives of LA and Marriage

Bootcamp: Reality Stars.

Williams went to Clayton High School and Gordon played for the disgraced former

coach and ex-convict Floyd Irons at Vashon. He played one season of JUCO

basketball and then one season at Illinois State and Oklahoma City U.

He played pro basketball overseas in Sweden, Turkey, Russia, Israel and also in

Argentina.

In September 22, 2021 Williams was indicted by a Federal Grand Jury on five Felony

Charges of Misuse of a Social Security number, 4-counts of Bank Fraud, 3-counts of

Making False Statements to the IRS, 3-counts of Felony Wire Fraud and 3-counts of

Aggravated Identity Theft.

HIGH ON DRUGS 28-YEAR-OLD FROM BRIDGETON TOOK OUT 35-FEET OF

GUARD RAIL ON I-270. INSTEAD OF BEING CHILLED SHE WAS A HANDFULL

and wasn’t wearing her pants On Friday night into Saturday morning June 27, 2020 at

12:45AM Town and Country Officer Dustin York was dispatched to a single vehicle

crash on Southbound I-270 at or near the Clayton Road overpass.

On arrival Officer York found a white GMC Terrain off the road and stuck on an

embankment. The vehicle had extensive damage to the right side.

The driver, Jessica Marie Morgan 28, was out of the vehicle and had removed her pants

which were on a rear seat. Officer York asked her to put her pants back on, a task that

was difficult.

Officer York reported that Morgan was calling out names that she said were her

children. He checked the area and the vehicle and could find no other people. A

witness who was driving on I-270 behind Morgan stopped after she crashed and

reported that there was no one else in Morgan’s GMC.

The witness reported the GMC was swerving and then left the roadway to the right

striking a guardrail and then continue driving off the highway before getting stuck on the

embankment at which time the driver was spinning her tires.

Officer York stated that Morgan hysterical at times and once claimed people had set

her up.

Once in the ambulance Morgan became uncooperative and at one point began spitting

on the paramedics.

At the hospital it was more of the same. She refused a “police evidence blood draw”

and to answer any questions.

Morgan stayed at the hospital which means I was unable to get a mugshot (rats!). She

was issued citations of Driving While Intoxicated/Drugs, Improper Lane Use,

Possession of Marijuana for a bag of pot in plain view in the front seat area, and No

Proof of Insurance.

Dustin York

OUTCOME: On April 1, 2021 Morgan pled guilty to DWID. She was fined $466 and

sentenced to 90-days in jail with a 2-year SES probation term on the jail sentence. She

got full points for DWID and a permanent public record. The Improper Lane Use that

caused $10,000 worth of damage to Highway Department guardrails and the No Proof

of Insurance charges were dismissed.

The Possession of Marijuana charge was amended to Littering with a $316 fine.

Morgan’s record only included three traffic charges amended to Illegal Parking with stiff

fines in St. Ann.

58-YEAR OLD BALLWIN WOMAN SHOPLIFTING LOTS OF BOOZE OVER TWO

MONTHS, MAYBE FOR A GARDEN PARTY. Store detectives at the Town and

Country Target store were restricted from taking shoplifters into custody due to the

COVID 19 pandemic. That did not keep them from working.

The store’s asset protection officer on April 29, 2020 observed a women stealing. With

the store’s COVID-19 policy of not detaining people he contacted the lady and

suggested she leave the items she was trying to steal. She ignored him and took stolen

bottles of liquor out of the store. He followed her and got the license number off of her

Mercedes CLS 550.

He described her as white/female around 60 with a slim build.

A review of store security video over two months showed the woman was a regular

thief.

Here on the dates and times she was seen stealing (normally booze):

Page 9: STEALING BOOZE WITH YOUR BACKPACK Sam’s Club in

Here is what she was seen stealing:

Page 13: STEALING BOOZE WITH YOUR BACKPACK Sam’s Club in

13

2 more 1.75ML $59.98 2-bottles $39.98

AND FINALLY FOR THE GARDEN PARTY:

4-bags of potting soil $33.96

We have shown all the items stolen because the suspect, Mercia Belle Myers is not

exactly a large woman.

She is 5-foot-2 inches tall and weighs in at 120 pounds.

Page 14: STEALING BOOZE WITH YOUR BACKPACK Sam’s Club in

60-year-old Mercia Myers.

The investigation of all five thefts totaling $508.73 was being handled by Det. Jason

Sapienza, who didn’t have to spend too much time in clearing the cases..

He did a photo lineup of the suspect where the Target asset protection employee

immediately picked her out. He got video of Myers in action. He then called Myers and

she agreed to come to the station and meet with Det. Sapienza.

Page 15: STEALING BOOZE WITH YOUR BACKPACK Sam’s Club in

15

After being advised of her rights Myers immediately started talking about her husband,

Mark Myers and saying how he had a drinking problem.

Det. Sapienza stopped her and showed her the video of her stealing a lot of booze. She

then changed her story and admitted it was her stealing and added that she also has a

drinking problem. This is from the police reports: (In Det. Sapienza’s reports he

bounces back and forth from “third person” to “first person.”)

OUTCOME: Myers hired a lawyer so things would probably not be too bad for a

chronic thief with an apparent alcohol problem.

March 13, 2020 Theft On 12/11/20 she pled guilty and was placed on a 2-year No-fine,

No Permanent Record SIS Probation.

April 14, 2020 Theft On 12/11/20 she pled guilty and was placed on a 2-year, No-Fine,

No Permanent Record SIS Probation.

April 19, 2020 Theft On 12/11/20 she pled guilty and was fined $166.50 to Stealing

and it is a permanent court record.

April 20, 2020 Theft On 12/11/20 she pled guilty to something she did not do. The

theft charge was amended to littering. She was fined $216.50 for an offense some

environmentalists would consider more serious than stealing.

I would hope that restitution was part of a pre-plea agreement because there was

nothing in the online court files about paying back Target .

DRUNK WOMAN DRIVING A 2016 PORSCHE THAT WITNESSES REPORT WAS

DOING 100 MPH CAUSED 4-CAR CRASH ON I-64 NEAR MASON ROAD. On

Saturday night November 9, 2019 Tiffany Peter at about 8:25pm was driving her 2016

Porsche west on I-64 so fast she caused motorists she passed at high speeds to call 9-

1-1. Then just before Mason Road she caused a high-speed multi-car crash that

generated more 9-1-1 calls.

Town and Country Police dispatched four officers to the call. Cpl. Dan Duddleston

apparently drew a short straw and was a primary officer.

Four T&C Officers on the Scene

Dan Duddleton Danny Palmer Jordan Fowle Sgt Jeff McNutt

The driver of the Porsche was identified as Tiffany Peter of Ballwin. From the police

reports this is the general condition and attitude of Peter:

This is the diagram of all the points of impact caused by Peter:

Page 17: STEALING BOOZE WITH YOUR BACKPACK Sam’s Club in

17

The first vehicle struck by Peter’s Porsche was 2010 Ford Focus operated by Grant

Sims of Chesterfield, MO and occupied by his wife. This car was total as it overturned

after the impact. Of course the Porsche was also totaled.

Page 18: STEALING BOOZE WITH YOUR BACKPACK Sam’s Club in

18

Here is Sim’s statement:

From the Crash report, here is Tiffany Peter’s statement:

Cpl. Duddleston obviously thought Peter was drunk. She agreed to do field sobriety

tests. That agreement and those tests did not last long.

After Cpl. Duddleston finished check her eyes Peter said she had to urinate and

demanded to go to the bathroom. Duddleston pointed out to her there were no

restrooms on I-64. She then refused to do any more sobriety tests. She stated she

would go urinated in the grass off the shoulder. While walking in the grass she fell.

This is from the police report:

She was arrested for DWI and other traffic charges. Sgt. McNutt transported her to the

police station and a bathroom.

At the police station Peter refused to take a Breath Test. She did agree to be

interviewed. In that interview she stated that she had been drinking at a charity awards

function at the downtown Hyatt hotel from 3pm to 7:30pm. She said she wasn’t sure

how many drinks she had saying, “maybe five.”

She admitted that she thought she was intoxicated.

Page 19: STEALING BOOZE WITH YOUR BACKPACK Sam’s Club in

Tiffany Peter Peter’s eyes

OUTCOME: On 04/09/21 Peter pled guilty to Improper Lane Use and was fined

$191.50. She also pled guilty to Following Too Closely and was fined another $181.50.

On the DWI she pled guilty two months earlier on 02/17/21. She was placed on a SIS

“No-Fine,” “No Points” and “No Permanent Public Record” Probation.

ADDITIONAL: Two weeks after the crash Tiffany Peter’s husband Michael Peter was

arrested and charged by the County Police with Felony Domestic Assault. He is still

wearing a GPS track as part of his bail. The case was pending in October of 2021.

Page 20: STEALING BOOZE WITH YOUR BACKPACK Sam’s Club in

20

In July of 2000 he was also charged with misdemeanor domestic assault in Richmond

Heights.

10-months after this crash in October of 2020, Tiffany Peter filed for Divorce from her

67-year-old husband, Michael Peter. That was pending in October of 2021.

Two months after the crash Tiffany Peter was sued by Grant and Jordynn Sims who

were in the Ford Focus that was the first car hit by Peter, was overturned and totaled.

That suit has not been settled.

CONCERNED CITIZEN HELPS NAIL A DRUNK DRIVER. On Saturday June 13,

2020 at about 9:50pm a motorist was so concerned about the way a driver of a Blue

Toyota Prius in front of him on EB I-64 was weaving from lane to lane that he called 9-1-

1. He told the dispatcher he would stay behind the Toyota with his flashers so a police

officer could find them.

The officer responding was Eric Diaz, a former Missouri State Trooper.

Officer Eric Diaz

Officer Diaz found the vehicle and got behind it between Mason Road and I-270 on EB

I-64. He immediately noticed that the car was weaving and also straddling the lane

dividers between lanes 2 and 3.

Officer Diaz turn on the overhead flashing lights and his spotlight. The driver of the

Toyota slowed to 20 mph but did not pulled over until he was on the exit lane for Ballas

Road.

Once the driver, Aleksandr Prokhorets,57, finally stopped Officer Diaz contacted him

and immediately noted that he was dealing with a drunk driver.

This is from the police report:

Page 21: STEALING BOOZE WITH YOUR BACKPACK Sam’s Club in

21

The driver, Aleksandr Prokhorets, had such trouble with the field sobriety tests that he

could not walk a straight line or put his heel to his toe. The reason became quickly clear

when Prokhorets took a field sobriety test and tested at .191%.

.191% Blood Alcohol is pretty amazing for a person who had minutes earlier denied

having anything to drink.

Prokhorets had changed his story on drinking at the time of the field sobriety tests, “I

had two glasses of wine. I’m a wine guy.”

Based on Prokhorets’ clear drunken condition, his failure on the field sobriety tests and

the BAC reading on his field breath test he was arrested and taken to the Town and

Country Police station.

Page 22: STEALING BOOZE WITH YOUR BACKPACK Sam’s Club in

22

At the cop shop he agreed to take an official breath test. He was arrested in 2019 by

the Olivette Police for DWI and refused to take a breath test and then hired a lawyer to

fight the driver’s license suspension in court, only to later drop the appeal.

The official breath test showed his BAC level was dropping but was still over twice the

legal limit.

Prokhorets Prokhorets’ eyes

After the BA test Prokhorets agreed to be interviewed. Despite two breath tests

showing he was more than twice the legal limit and his problems walking and balancing

he continued that he did not think he was intoxicated. From the report:

Page 23: STEALING BOOZE WITH YOUR BACKPACK Sam’s Club in

12/19/97 Speeding Guilty fine MO HWY Patrol

Prokhorets also has had seven lawsuits filed against him for debt related issues and

one for causing an injury auto crash.

OUTCOME: On February 5, 2021 Prokhorets pled guilty to Weaving and DWI.

Prokhorets having a DWI arrest eight months earlier and being on probation in Olivette

at the time of his plea, had an effect on Town and Country Judge Andrea Niehoff who

placed Prokhorets on a 2-year SES full-record and full points probation term and fined

him $366.

There is currently an arrest warrant for Prokhorets for apparently violating his probation

on his DWI arrest in Olivette by being arrested and convicted for DWI in Town and

Country.
