Term 2 2010

Progress with consultation

• Level 1 standards were consulted in 2009. Latest versions will appear online by the end of this month.

• Feedback from the Level 1 standards has been used to inform revisions of the Level 2 standards. Consultation on Level 2 will take place in August/Sept of 2010.

• There are some changes to the Level 2 standards (from the current versions online).

• Level 3 standards have been written. Consultation will take place in 2011 for Level 3.

There are two assessment resources projects in development

• Internal assessment resources for Level 1 are in progress and will appear on the alignment site as they become available.

• Level 1 languages internal assessment resources are now in quality control stage.

• Externals: Resources for externally assessed standards will be trialled in Term 4 2009 and Term 1 2010. All of these resources will be placed on the pages through the links above when they become available in 2010.

How can I find out more about implementing the new achievement standards in 2011?• Team Solutions and Kohia Education Centre workshops:

• Kohia Education Centre: Using Portfolios in LL on Wed 22 Sept.

• Team Solutions workshops (no charge) on implementing the Level 1 standards in 2011. Options include:

• Attend a full-day workshop on either Mon 27 Sept or Mon 4 October OR

• A full-day workshop on Monday 15 Nov or Mon 29 Nov OR• Attend a half-day workshop on portfolios from 1-4pm on

either Sat 13 Nov or Sat 20 Nov.Additional workshops can be run as needed. Please email g.koefoed@auckland.ac.nz to reserve a place for any of the dates above.
