Adaptations happen naturally!! Animals do not cause or make their adaptations.
What Are Adaptations?
Camouflage- an adaptation by which an animal can “hide” by blending in with its surroundings
You Can‘t See Me: Camouflage
Mimicry- when one organism imitates the traits of another organism to survive
Copycat: Mimicry
The Viceroy butterfly(top) imitates the bad-tasting monarch (bottom)to avoid being eaten.
Predators looking for a butterfly snack will see this Owl Butterfly, confuse it with an owl and stay away.
More Adaptations
