• Arizona is experiencing the fraud attempts witnessed in other states. • Working with the FBI and the Department of Labor continue combating
this fraud and ensure these dollars are preserved for Arizonans who need them.

STRENGTHENING HOUSING PROTECTIONS FOR ARIZONANS IMPACTED BY COVID-19
EVICTION PROTECTION • March 24: Executive Order delaying evictions for those impacted by
COVID-19. • Established the COVID-19 Rental Assistance Program, administered by
Arizona Community Action Agencies. • To date $1,122,963.96 has been provided to Arizona renters. • Order is set to expire on July 25.

NEW EXECUTIVE ORDER
• Extending eviction moratorium on residential evictions until October 31. • $650,000 for Community Action Agencies to improve staffing and
administration of rental assistance programs, providing assistance to families and individuals faster.
• $5 million to establish the Foreclosure Prevention Program. • Providing targeted relief to homeowners who rely on income from
tenants, helping them avoid foreclosure. • In total, state and local governments have directed more than $80 million
on programs to assist renters and prevent homelessness.

ADDITIONAL ACTIONS• Earlier this week: $1.6 million from the U.S. Department of Housing and
Urban Development’s Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) was distributed to combat homelessness.
• The funding will support counseling services, guidance on independent living, rental assistance and as well as homeless shelters throughout the state.
• Provided $250,000 from Chicanos Por La Causa for the organization's Statewide Housing Program, which finds housing for homeless individuals.
• In May: $300,000 provided to St. Vincent De Paul and Open Hearts, providing Arizonans in need with rental assistance, telehealth and transportation to health services.
