The 3rd
course in this popular series, this is a one day course to help participants get
to grips with the basics of statistics and research methodology. This year we have
included a practical workshop to allow participants to practice* using EXCELTM
and SPSSTM
. Get tips and tricks on creating good graphs and tables.
An essential course for all medical professions especially trainees who wish to take
up a research post. For consultants and GPs this also gives an opportunity to earn
valuable CME points along with finding answers to all those questions you always
wanted to ask.
Course organisers are Dr. Sunil Nadar, Consultant Cardiologist and Hon. Senior
Lecturer (Univ of Birmingham), Dr. Diedre Lane (Lecturer, Univ. of Birmingham)
and Dr. Eduard Shantsila (Post doc Fellow, Univ. of Birmingham). We also have Dr
Ed Hoey Consultant Radiologist and associate editor with the BMA publishing
group, as a guest speaker giving valuable tips and tricks on getting published.
