Statistical Abstract of Karnataka 2015-16 is the 22nd issue in the series. This
publication contains information on various socio-economic sectors of the State. Information
from various departments of the state and central government has been collected and collated
in the publication. The information furnished relates to the financial year or as otherwise
stated. At the foot of each of the tables the source for the data has been mentioned along with
an explanatory note wherever required.
It is hoped that the publication will be useful to the planners, researchers and
academicians etc,.
The Co-operation extended by various departments of the state and central
government and other institutions in bringing out this publication is hereby acknowledged.
