K-3 watch: God’s Story: Palm Sunday, https://youtu.be/lTmbTuutBgg 4-8 watch: Skit Guys: Palm Sunday, https://youtu.be/0rdrcHLIs5c In last week’s Gospel reading, we heard about Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead. This week is Palm Sunday and we hear about Jesus’ triumphal entrance into Jerusalem on a donkey. After hearing today’s Gospel. Why do you think the people are so excited to see Jesus? They just heard that Jesus performed a miracle by raising Lazarus from the dead. They were excited that Jesus had come to Jerusalem. They yelled “Hosanna” and waved palm branches. They placed their cloaks on the ground and treated Jesus like royalty. Unfortunately, the people of the time did not understand what Jesus meant when he told them he was the King and the Messiah. They thought he was going to save them from oppression and free them. However, as we know, Jesus did not come to save us from the problems of this world. But he came to save our souls. Within 5 days of this glorious entry into Jerusalem, Jesus was dying on the cross. This week we celebrate Holy Week. Unfortunately, we are unable to gather as a community within our church building, but we can gather as a community by attending Holy Thursday Mass and Good Friday service online as a community. This is our new normal for now. God has asked us to sacrifice, pray and suffer for each other. This week Jesus faces betrayal by his friends, torture by his enemies and eventually humiliation and death on a cross. Let us pray at this time for all the people who have sacrificed for others during this time. Those who are on the frontlines and those who have lost loved ones. We pray for those who are suffering right now, may they find peace in you Jesus. Amen. YFF Registration 2020-2021 Since our parish is using a new software program, we decided to use it as well for the 2020-2021 year. As part of the program, all information that the parish office has on you has been entered digitally. This information is then available when you register the students for classes next year. The new software program is called Realm. Unfortunately, some of the information the parish office has is not up to date. If you could go onto Realm over the next couple of weeks and make changes to update your account it will make it so much easier when you begin registering for next year. Go to onrealm.org, create an account, enter your last name in the search box, and edit information that is incorrect. We will be sending out information on registering in the next couple of weeks. We miss you all and hope you are all staying safe and healthy.

Since Mass is temporarily suspended and the parish office is closed we will not be collecting the Rice Bowl money at this time. Once Mass resumes we will let you know when the Rice Bowl collection will take place. Please do not drop the money off at the office at this time. Thank you for understanding.
