Dear Friend: We take this means of acknowledging your recent
communication and confirming your reception of our programs. We trust that you will accept this folder as a personal answer and expression of our appre- ciation of your report.
WOC is equipped with transmitting apparatus manufactured by the Western Electric Company. Our present apparatus, installed in December, 1924, has a maximum output power of 5,000 watts, and represents the finest and most complete type of radiophone trans- mitting equipment that the world has yet developed.
If you come to the 'Chiropractic City., we in- vite you to come and visit our institution and our Radio Broadcasting Station. The fact that you are one of our listeners will be your pass.
The schedule enclosed with this folder is standard. Detailed programs and special numbers are announced by radio and in newspapers throughout the country using our free program service.
By the cooperation and suggestions of friends like yourself we bave succeeded in making WOC one of the finest stations in the country. We trust that you will hear and enjoy our programs regularly, and hope that we may hear from you again.

ERHAPS you, like many of our friends who have listened to WOC's programs during the past several years, have won-
dered why The Palmer School of Chiropractic should maintain and operate a standard broad- casting equipment. And this is, indeed, a legi-
ble cal and natural question to ask, as there is lit- tle in direct benefit that an institution of this
kind can hope to derive. Radio has brought to the surface of American busi-
ness something bigger and finer than the purely com- mercial aspect of ordinary business activities. The Palmer School of Chiropractic-one of the pioneers
among broadcasters-has always held that radio
broadcasting is "the symbol of unselfishness" and has employed this vast new field of public service as a medium to the scheme of things Ameri- can, by giving more than it receives.
Its only hope is that those who hear, en- joy and benefit by WOC's broadcasting ac- tivities may feel a little closer and better acquainted with the profession of Chiro- practic, and its representatives who are located in all parts of the world. It aspires, through the far-reaching effects of the radio, to bring into closer bonds of under- standing and acquaintanceship, the Foun- tain Head Institution of Chiropractic, the members of the Chiropractic profession and the countless thousands whom they serve with their health science.
Whether or not you have had previous acquaintance with your local chiropractor, we should like you to act as a messenger to convey to him (or her) our regards and best wishes. Call lapon him in person, or
by telephone, and thus complete the cycle between ourselves, yourself, and him. We are sure you will enjoy his acquaintance, and he, yours, for RADIO makes friends of us all.
We hope you will continue to enjoy the programs which we furnish you; we love the game, and like to be of service.
One of our Contra Cusses
CHIROPRACTIC offers a wonderful opportunity for those who desire to enter a new and growing profession which holds out un- limited possibilities for professional suc- cess and service to humanity. A postal card addressed to The P.S.C., Davenport,
Iowa, will bring you complete information. i

Dear Friend:
1926.
Your comments on our recent program have been received, and are much appreciated. They will be imme- diately passed on to the entertainers.
As we do not operate a commercial station there is no direct financial return to our artists, and the ap- plause therefore from the listener is eagerly anticipated.
We are much gratified at the favorable reports we are receiving concerning W. R. V. A. programs from a wide area.
Assuring you of our appreciation of your com- ments, and hoping to hear from you further, we remain

Radio Friend:
29,
We are glad to learn that you received and enjoyed our recent programme. It is very gratifying to hear from listeners, as there are so many thousands of our unseen audience, who no doubt enjoy our programmes but do not take the trouble to drop a line compliment- ing the artist.
The artists give their services freely at W. R. V. A., and their reward is applause from the listener.
We thank you and hope we may hear from you again.

My dear Sir: -
Your letter of the twenty-third of July has been received, and is hereby acknowledged.
Padio Station 72.IT came on the air on February 12th., operating on 1480 kilocycles. They had two periods of broadcasts, the first from six to seven o'clock in the evening and the other from -ten in the evening to one or two the next morning, both Chicago tine which is central standard time.
Some time late in Felix the call etters -óP ` -src ̀ ioz mere rti áne' o :'_ e s E.aCon' as --
operated on this latter cell since that time.
Although you are many miles away your report indicates clearly to ne that you actually did hear the t 'lo stations. I did not happen to have any connection with
the station at that time, and so am unable to verify your report, but the time, the call letters, and the .óharacter of program you report all fits exactly.
I am taking the liberty of sending you an ekko stamp, the official stamp for confirming receipt of a station. The price of each stamp is 10 cents. 1?e would appreciate hearing from you again, end then you may enclose the equivalent of twenty cents in our Money.
Thanking you very much for your report which is 1'l lly reAnrkable in many ways, and with best ;dishes, I am,

WTMJ -A New Era of Journal Service
ceESS than three years have elapsed since The Milwaukee Journal first associated
with Marquette university in the joint opera- tion of radio station WHAD. In even this short time, The Milwaukee Journal-Wis- consin's leading metropolitan newspaper- has earned the reputation of providing the most consistently excellent radio entertainment for Milwaukee and Wisconsin listeners.
Distinctive Achievements Numberless pioneering steps have been taken in establishing an individually owned Mil- waukee Journal station. Many thousands of dollars have been spent by The Journal for radio programs of a quality in keeping with the high standards of Journal newspaper service.
The installation of The Journal's Mighty Wurlitzer broadcasting organ and the con- struction of the model studios in The Mil- waukee Journal building were the most recent developments prior to the construction of the new WTMJ power unit outside Milwaukee.
This new unit was built to permit broadcasting under The Journal's own call letters and wave length. Thus, station WTMJ-"W-- The Milwaukee Journal"-was established.
