WelcomeI’d like to start by thanking you for supporting this event.

We are delighted to once again be a qualifying round of the 2016 M+E Alarms Southern

Counties Autocross Championship and to welcome you all back to sunny(hopefully)

Pembrokeshire.

We understand that many of you may be travelling from afar so please get in contact if you have

any concerns or time constraints and we will do our best to help in any way.

If all competitors could please send your entry forms to us at the earliest possible time we would

be grateful as we wouldn’t want the event being cancelled unnecessarily.

Special thanks go to the land owners, Rhys Watkins and H.W. Watkins, and the Club members

who have worked hard to organise and run this event.

Camping on the site is available Friday and Saturday night.

Toilets will be on site from Friday evening, and there will be catering on site during the day on

Saturday and Sunday.

I hope this event is well supported by both competitors and marshals, and we hope everybody

involved has an enjoyable weekend’s motorsport.

Look forward to seeing you all on the start line.

Supplementary Regulations

1. ANNOUNCEMENTPembrokeshire Motor Club will organise and promote a National ‘B’ permit Autocross on the 24th &

25th September 2016 at Mountain Farm, Nr Narberth, Pembrokeshire, SA67 8RQ,

(M/R SN-111-127).

2. JURISDICTIONThe meeting will be governed by the General Regulations of the Motor Sports Association

Ltd (incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the FIA), the

Regulations and any written instructions the organising club may issue for the event.

3. AUTHORISATIONMSA Permit No: TBA

2016 M+E Alarms Southern Counties Autocross Championship.

MSA Regional Championship Permit No: CH2016/S095

ELIGIBILITYa) All fully elected members of Pembrokeshire Motor Club Ltd

b) All fully elected members of all clubs within The Welsh Association of Motor Clubs.

c) All fully elected members of all clubs within ASWMC

d) All registered competitors in the 2016 M+E Alarms Southern Counties Autocross

Championship.

All competitors must produce a valid club membership card, competition license and

championship registration card (if applicable) at signing-on.

5. CHAMPIONSHIPThe event is a qualifying round of the;

2016 M+E Alarms Southern Counties Autocross Championship.

6. EVENT PROGRAMME Saturday 24 th September

Signing-On From 9:00 am

Scrutineering From 9:00 am

Drivers Briefing 10:45 am

Practice 11:00 am

First Timed Run Immediately after practice.

Saturday evening/night-refreshments available on site.

Sunday 25 th September

Drivers Briefing 10:15 am

Practice 10:30 am

First Timed Run Immediately after practice.Any competitor not signed on by the start of the timed runs may be excluded

7. COURSEThe length of the course is approximately 750 metres per lap and consists of right and left

hand bends on a stubble/grass field.

Competitors are reminded that if all four wheels go off the course (inside or outside) then

you MUST stop a safe distance away from the track and not proceed until instructed to do

so by an official.[N3.7.7(b)]

8. CLASSESThe event will consist of the following classes:-

A1: Economy Production Saloons up to 1600cc.

A2: Economy Production Saloons over 1600cc.

B: Cars based on Production Vehicles up to 1400cc.

C: Cars based on Production Vehicles 1401 to 1650cc.

D: Cars based on Production Vehicles 1651cc and over.

E1: Specials.

E2: All Four Wheel Drive.

F: Junior Class [Drivers aged 14 – 17 years]

(N.4.1 to 4.8 and 4.21)

G1: 2wd Stage Rally Cars up to 1600cc (N.4.9.4)

G2: 2wd Stage Rally Cars over 1600cc (N.4.9.4)

Note:

Diesel engine cars are eligible to compete in all classes but will NOT be subjected to a 40%

capacity loading if fitted with forced induction.

Petrol engine cars fitted with forced induction WILL have a 40% capacity loading applied.

All motorcycle-engine cars are eligible but will be classified as Specials(E1)

and must comply with MSA Technical Regulations appropriate to Autocross.

Classes G1 and G2 may only carry out practice and timed runs with cars from the same class

and not with vehicles from any other class.

Single seat “buggies” and non-centre seated saloons with no windows must be fitted with

window nets and arm restraints.

Engine must remain in the original engine location/compartment.

Class F must comply with N4.21 to N4.21.14

9. TECHNICAL REGULATIONSAll vehicles must comply with the MSA Regulations as per the 2016

MSA year book, J5.1 to J5.20.13, N4.1 to N4.8.3, N4.9.2 and N4.10 to N4.19

Classes A1 & A2 cars MUST comply with the current version of N4.9.3. with the exception

for the following which are modified:

N4.9.3(e)Wheel sizes are free.

N4.9.3(g)Shock absorbers may be uprated but must be of a fixed rate and NOT adjustable.

The operation and location must also be as manufacturers specification.

Fuel tank is free for modification and/or relocation, but MUST still comply with J5.2.1

Roll over bars to K1.6.1 to K1.6.2 are highly recommended.

Vehicles not considered by the Clerk of the Course, to be within the spirit of the regulations

for Classes A1 or A2 will not be accepted for entry in these classes.

Classes B, C & D cars extensively lightened more than stipulated in N4.10.4 MUST comply

with the current version of N4.10.5. Especially lightened and/or space frame construction

vehicles.

Class F must comply with N4.21 to N4.21.14.

Tyres: Exception to N4.14 which are modified:

Tyres are free to include M&S pattern, but block pattern and Motocross type pattern are not

permitted. Hand cut tyres will not be permitted.

10. AWARDSWill be presented at the end of the event on Sunday the 25th of September.

The awards will be based on the best amalgamated times from Saturday and Sunday.

Perpetual awards will be presented as follows:

Fastest Time of Meeting-Graham Davies Memorial

1st in Class

2nd in Class (subject to 5 starters)

3rd in Class (subject to 7 starters)

Best Lady Driver

‘Big Beans Motorsport’ Award.

No competitor may win more than one award.

11. ENTRIESThe entry list opens on publication of these ASR’s and close on

Wednesday 21st September.

The entry fee is £120, or £110 if received BEFORE Friday16th September.

The entry fee for double driven cars is £110(per entrant).

The entry fee for juniors is £40

For double driven cars, each driver must complete a separate entry form.

All entries must be made on the official entry form and accompanied by the appropriate fee.

If you fill in an email address we will acknowledge your entry by email. We will also be

sending final instructions by email rather than relying on the post.

If you do not have access to email please let us know and your finals will be posted.

12. ENTRY LIMITSThe maximum number of entries for the two day event, including reserves, is 60. The

minimum is 25. The minimum for each class is 3.

Should the above minimum figures not be reached, the organisers reserve the right to either

cancel the event or amalgamate classes as necessary.

Entries will be accepted in order of receipt.

Withdrawn entry fees will be refunded in full up to the closing date, after the closing date

they will be subject to a £5.00 administration fee.

14. RESULTSProvisional results will be published as soon as possible after

the event and made final 30 mins after being posted.

Any protest must be lodged in accordance with C5.

15. STARTING ORDERStarting order will be determined by class. Alternatively the Clerk of the Course may allow a

free running order.

Cars will start in groups of up to four cars. Exact group numbers will depending on track

conditions on the day. Four is the maximum number of cars on the course at any one time.

The start signal will be by lights or flag.

The method of timing will be electronic, commencing on the start signal. The finish line will

be denoted by a chequered flag or board.

16. PRACTICECompetitors will have the opportunity to walk the course, followed by one practice run

consisting of 3 laps.

There will be a drivers briefing prior to commencement of practice runs.

ALL drivers are reminded that attendance at this briefing is MANDATORY.

17. TIMED RUNSDrivers will have a minimum of three timed runs each consisting of

4 laps (time and weather permitting).

Fastest time of the day will count towards the final results.

18. IDENTIFICATIONCompetitors will be identified by competition numbers (complying to J.4) which will be

allocated (but not supplied) by the organisers.

Identification numbers must be displayed on both sides of the competing car.

Where a car is double driven, the numbers not applicable must be completely masked. If this

is not done, the MSA Timekeeper may not give a time and in that case a re-run will not be

permitted.

19. MARKINGMarkers will be as printed in the appropriate section of the MSA General Regulations. N2.4,

N2.4.1 and N2.4.3

The course shall be marked by stakes with yellow squares.

Penalty markers shall be marked by stakes with orange arrows.

The organisers reserve the right to alter the course after the first day. Competitors will be

invited to walk the amended course prior to the Sunday practice runs. N2.5.1, N2.5.2

20. PENALTIESPenalties will be as printed in the appropriate section of the MSA General Regulations.

N3.7 to N3.7.7

Each marshal is a judge of fact for circuit penalties, which will be penalised by the addition of

10 seconds(per penalty). And a start line judge will be appointed for false starts, which will

be penalised by disqualification from that run and no time awarded.

All other GCR’s of the MSA apply as written except for the following which are modified:-

N3.7.1 Each driver will be given the opportunity of a minimum of three timed runs, time and

weather permitting, the fastest run from each day will be amalgamated to form the results for

awards.

21. PADDOCKSpeeding in the paddock area will result in exclusion.

5mph speed limit will be strictly enforced in the paddock and pit lane.

All officials and marshals shall be judges in this respect.

Their decisions will be final and not subject to protest.

Please consider K14.2

Refuelling of vehicles must conform to Health & Safety Regulations.

Refuelling must be carried out in controlled conditions from an approved

container and with a fire extinguisher primed and ready to use.

22. DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON A LEAD and strict control at the venue and away from

surrounding farm land.

23. REFRESHMENTS will be available from the caterer in the paddock, please support this

facility.

24. TOILETS will be on site Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday.

25. PLEASE TAKE YOUR LITTER HOME with you.

26. CAMPING at the venue is available Friday and Saturday night.

27. FINAL INSTRUCTION will be emailed/posted by the Tuesday prior to the event.

following such declaration, issued a licence which permits me to do so.
