Selected indicators

Data set: MICS 2005 and 2010 Early initiation of breast feeding Stunting Indicator selecting rationale:

For early initiation of breast feeding, situation is getting worse even though inequality is decreased

For stunting, situation is improved but there is still existing inequality, and

There is no inequality and almost full coverage for other indicators

Conclusion Early initiation of breastfeeding National average is declining or situation is getting

worse Poorest group mostly use breastfeeding and it is less

among wealthy women Comparing other countries, coverage is not so bad

It can be concluded that…. an action even not urgent is needed and its score

would be “2”

Conclusion Stunting in children aged below 5 National average is declining or situation is good Stunting is higher among poorest group, male babies and in

Western and Eastern regions Comparing other countries, coverage and general situation

are not bad, but in terms of absolute measure of inequality is in mid range. In terms of relative measure, there is high inequality.

Data says us that Mongolian situation is better than Vietnam, but worst than other given countries

It can be concluded that…an action even not urgent is needed and its score

would be “2”
