EDUCATION ACT, 1928-1966.Declaration of School Boundaries (Pursuant toParagraph (a) of Subsection (2) of Section 21).

THE Hon. Minister for Education has declared thatthe boundaries for the schools listed hereundershall be as stated in this notice. Children wholive within the areas and boundaries stated mustattend the school to which such boundaries applyunless directed otherwise or unless an option isprovided. Children who live outside the areasand boundaries stated shall not attend the schoolsto which such boundaries apply unless writtenapproval for such admission is obtained from theundersigned.


School Boundaries.1. Annie Street Junior Primary School.—From

the junction of Cockburn and Rockingham Roadseast along Rockingham Road, Starling and Strat-ton Streets to Carrington Street, thence northalong Carrington Street.

Children living in the boundary streets of Rock-ingham Road and Carrington Street may notattend Annie Street School. Children living inStarling and Stratton Streets shall attend AnnieStreet School.

Children living in North Lake Road (both sides),the south side of Canning Highway and the northside of High Road shall attend Booragoon School.Children living in Hickey and Shapcott Streetsand in McCallum Crescent shall not attend Boora-goon School.

Children living within the area and boundariesof Booragoon School and who were attending theAttadale, Applecross or Ardross Schools in 1966shall have the option of continuing to attendthese schools.

3. East Coolbellup Primary School—The boun-dary between East Coolbellup and CoolbellupSchools shall be a line running through the centreof Coolbellup Avenue so that all children livingon the east side of Coolbellup Avenue only shallattend the East Coolbellup School.

Children who were attending Bibra Lake Schoolin 1966 shall be given the option of attending eitherEast Coolbellup or East Hamilton Hill Schools.

Gatesby Street Junior Primary School.—From the junction of The Boulevard and WestCoast Highway east along The Boulevard, thennorth along Pandora Drive and Dunstan Road,then east along Empire Avenue, then north alongAilsa Street, then west along Maisie Crescent,Glenelg, Brix, Quorn, Ken and Bent Streets, thennorth along Brompton Road, then west alongMaloney Street to the West Coast Highway.

Children living on the north side only of TheBoulevard and on both sides of all other boundarystreets shall attend Gatesby Street School.

During the year 1967, only children attendingthe Wembley Downs School who are in Grades 2and 3 (1967) and including Grade 1 (1967) andwho live south of the boundary between theGatesby Street and Wembley Downs Schools andhave elder siblings in Grades 4 to 7 (1967) at-tending the Wembley Downs School, shall have theoption of attending the Wembley Downs School.As from the beginning of 1968, this option shallnot apply to new enrolments.

5. Kinlock Primary School.—The boundary be-tween Kinlock and Cannington Schools shall bethe Canning River.

6. McKay Street Junior Primary School.—Fromthe junction of Holder Street and Hill View Ter-race east along Holder Street, southeast alongDumont Street, then south along Walpole Street,then west along Manning Road.

Children living on the north side only of Man-ning Road and on both sides of Dumont and Wal-pole Streets shall attend McKay Street School.Children living in Holder Street shall not attendMcKay Street School.

1. In these regulations the Education Act Regulations, 1960,published in the Government Gazette on the 26th July, 1960, andamended from time to time prior to the 3rd December, 1963, andreprinted as so amended pursuant to the Reprinting of RegulationsAct, 1954, in the Government Gazette on the 7th April, 1964, andamended from time to time thereafter by notices published in theGovernment Gazette, are referred to as the principal regulations.

2. Schedule 2 to the principal regulations is amended bysubstituting for subparagraphs (b) and (c) of paragraph (1) underthe heading "1.—GENERAL TUITION FEES." the following sub-paragraphs:

All other traffic consigned at Perth for the road freighter servicesOn these two routes shall be accepted at the Newcastle Street Depot only.

(b) Charges shall be raised in accordance with the general conditions andclassifications for the carriage of parcels, pages 47 to 76, with a minimum of"half" rates, except for consignments charged at the Heavy Haulage ratesshown on pages 55 and 56 when it is cheaper to do so. 1:

(c) The Heavy Haulage rates shall only apply to consignments despatchedfrom the Newcastle Street and Geraldton Road Service Depots and fromBadgingarra.

(d) A rebate of 25 per cent. shall be allowed on the Badgingarra routeonly for consignments classified not less than full rates and weighing over1 cwt. and up to 20 cwt., with the following minima:-

(1) For consignments charged at parcels rates, page 58, minimumcharge as for 1 cwt. at ordinary parcels rates.

(2) For consignments charged at the Heavy Haulage rate the mini-mum charge shown on page 55.

(e) Consignments of a perishable nature as listed on page 60 and con-signments the total weight of which exceeds 5 cwt., may be bulked for thepurpose of assessing freight charges.

(f) Consignments carried in a refrigerated vehicle shall be subject toa minimum of "Half" rates plus a surcharge of 10 per cent., additional tothe freight charge. 1:

1:Where charges do not compute to an even five cents they shall becalculated to the nearest five cents in excess of that amount.

In Victoria, those in excessof 14 lb. shall be charged at the prescribed rates with no allowance, but in NewSouth Wales when folded and collapsed, the weight in excess of 14 lb. may becharged as excess luggage at ordinary parcels rates (with a maximum of accom-panied pusher rate).
