DESCRIPTION

After an intense evaluation phase and several pitch days, the big moment has finally arrived: we have chosen our top 15 startups to take part in Startupbootcamp’s NFC&Contactless Final Selection Days on September 10th and 11th. Selecting the finalists was not an easy task, as we were deeply impressed by the energy and passion we saw in most of the teams we spoke with. Our devices are fixed with a patented clip on a medicine box, patients don't have to do anything else than taking the medicine contained inside the box. The device will remember the right time and the right dose.

Market need: Some facts: 50% of patients don't take drugs as prescribed. Up to 80% of patients make errors in taking medication. 12% of hospital admissions are due to non-adherence of prescription. We’ve created a tool for building mobile web applications. It provides a user-friendly interface and the main characteristic is that it hides all technical details. It is thus appropriate for users with no IT skills. The basic feature of the platform is the presentation of information that is combined with extra functionality. One can think of QReca! as an empty canvas, where a user can place various micro components we provide. The application can be triggered via a QR Code, a NFC tag, GPS signal etc. Moreover, the user may change the information and the functionalities that are associated with an app without the need of reestablishing the access channel (e.g. reprinting the QR Code). Eg: Joomla for NFC/QR Tags.

Market need: Using a QR code or NFC chip, one could share a ton of info. But when you want to change that information, you used to have to renew that QR code which is time-consuming and expensive. We solve this pain with our platform.
