• EU Funding is available for start-ups, entrepreneurs and companies of any size or sector.
• A wide range of financing is available: Business loans, microfinance, guarantees and venture capital.
• The decision to provide EU financing is made by the local financialinstitutions

SME instrument vs Fast Track to Innovation
Phase 1 aims to cover the assessment of technical feasibility and market potential of new ideas. Phase 2 aims to cover R&I activities with a particular focus on demonstration and market replication encouraging the involvement of end users or potential clients.
Funding focus
Supported are advanced and specific R&D activities, standard setting and advanced performance testing/ piloting/ demonstration activities, validation of solutions in real working conditions/ certification, business model validation

• Single companies with interesting technology or business innovation projects
• Investor portfolio companies• Spin-Off’s
Target group
• Consortia of 3-5 partners (legally registered in the EU or in Horizon2020 associated countries), industry-intensive
• Not restricted with for-profit entities
• Phase 1: 3 months• Phase 2: 6 months

• Phase 1: about 10% (estimation)• Phase 2: about 30% (estimation)
