Showreels:

There are essentially three ways to get a showreel together, if you don’t already have one

1. Edit together any footage you already have. You can either do this yourself – if you have the inclination or outsource the job. K Takent can refer you to a preferred editor on request

2. If you don’t have enough quality footage to use you will need to gain more. The best way to do this is to do Short Films. Whilst you will be submitted for appropriate jobs here, there are certain institutions that respond better to actors approaching them directly. These are, amonst others:

MET Film School, London Film School, Ravensbourne and Norwich University of the Arts

Additionally there are a number of casting websites that you could subscribe to to allow you to access jobs not put out on Spotlight. These include:

Casting Call Pro, Mandy.com, Shooting People and StarNow

3. Pay for a completely bespoke Showreel to be written, filmed and edited for you. There are many companies who offer this service but, at this point, there are none we would personally recommend.
