President McKinleyOk, if you have a bill sporting these presidents - McKinley on the $500 or Cleveland on the $1,000 - take it out of your (hopefully) safety deposit box and have it appraised.

If, however, your team or sports club volunteers to host one of the water/aid stations during the Space Coast Marathon and Half-Marathon, you could win $1,000 for first place or $500 for second place.

There will be two separate contests - one for the north end (north of 520) and one for the south end (south of 520)

new at running ZoneThe Saucony Triumph 10 is a plush neutral trainer loaded with features to give you a smooth and responsive and lightweight ride. The redesigned decoupled crash pads in the heel disperse impact upon foot strike, while the PowerGrid midsole provides soft cushioning that protects you from the road mile after mile. A no-overlay, seamless upper keeps your foot wrapped in comfort. The 8mm heel-to-toe drop promotes a more natural stride over shoes with more traditional offsets.

The time change also means it will get dark earlier so all of our free fun runs and walks that had been starting at 6 p.m. will now begin at 5:30 p.m.

The Barefoot Running Controversy continued from page 14

Interestingly, however, is the finding that in barefoot running, a “pre-acti-vation” of the foot muscles occurs that reduces impact on the foot.
