Stars and Clouds
I am
in the starsand in the clouds.
I am in the world. It is wild, a lifelong promise. In this lifetime the world is brightand sunny with warmth, an embracing hug.
In this lifetime the world is darkand cold at night and day at times.
It is time to wait into the dark. And I amthe Light.

Stars and Jars
The stars dont belong in jars
They belong in the skyWhere they can shine
You put a star in a jarThey lose their luster
The stars dont belong in jarsThey belong in the skyWhere they can shine
The two men in jail One saw bars The other saw stars
The stars dont belong in jarsThey belong in the skyWhere they can shine
The star told the little boyYou have to let me goSo I can go back into the sky
Cause stars dont belong in jarsThey belong in the skyWhere they can shine

Indian Summer
The sunrise in the still silence
The darkness is being chased awayas the sun takes back the skyThe stars fade away, to begin another day
Morning red rosesCotton candy feathered pinkand wispy white cloudsThis is Gods canvas
Fog covers the hills like a blanketembracing their shape and formslowly working its way downcreeping down towards the town
A fog horn sounds from a shipAlone in the oceanlike a woman submerged completelyexcept a curl of her hair
While the sun hits the water like diamondsmoving in the way of the waves

Whispers in the Wind
Somethings happening in the wind
When we see branches swayingCaused by a gust of windMaking leaves fall down, blow all around
When we see people swinging their armsSpeaking too loudor throwing a fastballPutting some zip into the wind
When a good gust of windmakes us hear a whisper,Maybe an echoof a toupee blowing away
We can hear whispersof wind tunnel tornadosThe wind whippingHearing howling whispers
A hurricane has winds so greatSpinning forceful gusts
howling voices that we can hearthat whisper and echo at the same time
Certainly a blizzard has windsBurr, bitter, cold windsthat whisper and shout voicesbecause the winds makes you cry out
Somethings happening in the wind! By John Budney

Seasons
In fall, chills down your spine all the time
In winter, feeling locked up in your clothesIn spring, a time to thaw and flowers begin to budIn summer, all warm and hot and tender, roasting nights,
stormy summer nights, occasionally clear

A Nose
What is a nose?
A nose is that thing in the middle of your facethat you use to smell with.It helps you in so many ways.We all, at one time or another, use it for glassesto lie on the ridge, when you need them.
That thing on your face used to smell N to-the- O to-the- S to-the- E What does that spell? Nose! N to-the- O to-the- S to-the- E Just like a bud is to a rose.
All different types of nosessmall, medium, and large.Dont matter the time or place just what type of face.Either way we all have themso we can smell the fragrances of the world.
Could we live without a nose?Yes, we can.I saw a man that only hadthe inside of the nose facing outward. Not like anyone else.

Something might have happened to himduring his youthor he might have been in a war.
It was kind of strange to see himwithout a nose at all.Especially strange;I felt sorry for him.
But I never found out what happenedbecause I never got the courage to ask.Even though, he was with his wifewho still had her nose, like we all do.
Even though, I wasnt alone,I was with friends at Teds Hot Dog stand.
When I first saw him,I guess I was in shock to see him.I guess I found myselfas I rememberstaring at him at first.
Then I became shocked to see himwithout a nose like myself
or a nose like any of my other friends. That is why I am gratefulto have a nose.
N to-the- O to-the- S to-the- E Just like a bud is to a rose.
