Where do they live?

There some 2.000 species of sea starsliving in all the world’s ocean, from tropical habitats to the cold seafloor.

The body

They have bony, calcified skin, which protects them from most predators . They have five arms but species with 10,20 and even 40 arms exist.

If you go further down 500 metres, you can find sea floors over flowing with this type of sea stars.
