Flex and strength are tuned into each blade size and shape through the utilization of Biaxial and Uni-Directional cloths. A blade with good fl ex allows one to paddle longer and harder without getting tired.

All blades are produced with controlled resin ratio, minimizing any excess weight without compromising the strength and fl ex of the blade.

Carbon blade technology offers a custom woven Biaxial 60/60 degree Carbon cloth and a new high density PVC core absorbing less resin. Biaxial 45-degree fabric is used to increase the durability and reduce the risk of buckling. The technology retains strength while possessing incredibly good flex characteristics. The Bolt has a shortened stringer to give more flex and recoil at the very tip of the blade. Our best built paddle ever.

The angle of the paddle blade through the water and the blade’s size dictate the power and efficiency of your stroke.

The new Push Handle shape has a flattened neck that allows the paddler to push forwards to transfer power, without needing to hold a tight grip. The perfectly angled front shape with the index finger indent provides a balanced grip improving tracking. Available in Carbon, Light weight Texture Plastic and EVA.

The Enduro is a well-balanced blade design with a medium dihedral providing great stability and good power.

The relatively low aspect design makes it easy to lift the paddle out of the water with each stroke and is also great to lean on while wave riding.

Paddles fitted with Oval, Round or Skinny Carbon shafts are paired with Starboard’s new composite Carbon handle. Super light weight at just 35g / (1.1 oz) and strong due to the carbon layup: Twill Carbon finish and brushed texture for enhanced grip.

The light weight, strong molded handle is paired with our Hybrid Carbon Shafts. At just 45g (1.4 oz), it is lighter than many composite handles on the market.

Starboard’s one piece, light weight solution for those wishing to lengthen their paddle. The handle features an extra-long shaft that allows for 30cm (12”) of adjustment. The handle can be fixed using hot glue if adjustments are needed or by epoxy for a permanent fixed length.

All shafts are produced using pre-impregnated fabrics, minimizing the resin to fabric ratio, maximizing the efficiency and strength in every shaft.

CARBON All Carbon shafts are 30 grams (10%) lighter than 2015 Premium Carbon, helping the rider paddle for longer and use less energy. Carbon shafts are built with a light weight 100% Carbon fiber pre-impregnated construction.

A precise and cont-rolled grip, shaped to naturally fit in hand for the most direct tracking and alignment. The Oval does not have a sharp angle as with many other oval shafts.

The Round shaft is the most versatile sha f t , f ee l i ng light and lively, i t i s typ ica l ly preferred for all-round paddling and waves: Sean Poynter and Zane S c h w e i t z e r ’ s choice for wave riding.

Connor Baxter’s signature Choke Stroke with square grooved texture at the top of the shaft enhances the grip for high cadence strokes and quicker transitions from side-to-side. The entire shaft has a Matt Tape Finish for prime control when dry and wet. All Fixed shafts in Carbon and Hybrid Carbon feature the new textured finish.

The stiffness of the shaft is measured by applying 30 kg in the center of the shaft, supported at 140cm distance, to measure the deflection in mm. If the shaft bends, it shows a higher deflection resulting in more flex, compared to a stiffer shaft with low deflection. The 35mm has the lowest flex, 42mm has the highest flex.

The 42mm flex is more forgiving, suiting long d i s tance , a l l - round paddlers and most riders under 75–80 kg.

The 9’0” Pro is suited for riders up to 95kg. Volume has been redistributed from the rails to the standing area, maintaining fl oatation, whilst increasing reactivity. Tight pocket turning and vertical lip attacks are enhanced even further to handle all wave conditions.

Still the most popular Pro board in the range for its unquestionable versatility. From double over-head hollow reef breaks, to gutless beachies, its the one board that does it all.

8ft has become the “go to” length for tight pocket turning amongst more experienced riders. The 29” came into the range for riders up to 85kg who liked the 8’0” length, but found the stability a little overwhelming.

For 2016, the challenge was simply to design one board that could outperform competitors in every category.The design started with morphing the effi cient All Star rail with the speed from the triple concave bottom shape of the Race, making it a winner on fl at water.

The added nose volume and refi ned overall volume distribution made the hull easy and sensationally fast downwind.

We built and tested some 25 diff erent prototypes allowing us to fi ne tune and push limits to produce a revolutionary design far superior to anything we have presented before.

Mat Rauzier and Svein Rasmussen led the development with support from Titouan Puyo, Bart De Zwart, Zane Schweitzer, Beau O’Brian and Connor Baxter.
