The story of Star Wars is about the fi ght between good and evil. The good, or the Light Side, are the Jedi knights who served the Republic, and the bad, or the Dark Side, are the Sith Lords who rule the Empire. They both have special powers – the Force. They use it when they fi ght.

The Phantom Menace

The story begins when the Planet of Naboo is fi ght-ing the Trade Federation. The Trade Federation at-tacks Naboo. The Queen of Naboo, Padmé Amidala, asks the Jedi knights for help. But the Trade Federation also has friends who can use the Force, the Sith. The war continues. One day, two Jedi knights, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui--Gon Jinn, fi nd a young boy, Anakin Skywalker. They dis-cover that he has a lot of the Force and they decide to train him. Anakin even helps them to win a battle. During the battle, a Sith Lord, Darth Maul, kills Qui-Gon. Obi--Wan starts training Anakin.

Attack of the Clones

The fi ght continues. The Trade Federation sends an assassin to kill Queen Amida-la. Obi-Wan and Anakin protect her. Anakin and Queen Amidala fall in love. This is a problem, because Jedi kni-ghts can't engage. They must control their emotions and be strong. Anakin has problems with controlling his emo-tions and starts to change.

Revenge of the Sith

The Chancellor of Naboo, Palpatine, asks Anakin to be his Jedi bodyguard, and Anakin agrees. He doesn’t know that Palpatine can use the Dark Force. Anakin also learns that Padmé is pregnant. But Palpatine tries to continue Anakin’s change. The Jedi discover the Chancellor’s bad

intentions and try to arrest him. Anakin defends the Chancellor and becomes his apprentice, Darth Vader. He kills the Jedi knights. Only Obi-Wan and Yoda, Qui--Gon’s master, escape. Pal-patine wants more power. He builds an empire and be-comes its Emperor. Obi-Wan can’t accept Anakin’s change. He fi nds him and they fi ght. Obi--Wan cuts off Anakin’s arm and legs. The Emperor saves Anakin, but he is not human any more. Darth Vader is now a cyborg dark lord. Amidala dies when she gives birth to twins. Obi-Wan wants to keep it secret to protect the twins. He thinks it will be easier if he separates them. The twins’ names are Leia and Luke.

A New Hope

Many years later the war continues. Darth Vader attacks one of the Republic’s spaceships. Leia, now a princess, is there and becomes Darth Vader’s prisoner. But two droids escape from the ship and get to the Planet of Tattooine. They fi nd Luke Skywalker there. He discovers that one

of the droids has information about the Empire’s space station, called the Death Star. The information is for Obi--Wan, and Luke decides to fi nd him. Then, together with a smuggler, Han Solo, they travel to the Planet of Alde-raan, Leia’s home. Obi-Wan also tells Luke that he has Jedi powers and starts to train him. Together they fi nd the Death Star and rescue Leia. They also destroy the Death Star, but Darth Vader kills Obi-Wan Kenobi. Han, Luke and Leia escape and join a group of rebels, called the Rebel Alliance.

The Empire Strikes Back

The Empire wants revenge. They want to find Han, Luke and Leia, who are hiding on a frozen planet, Hoth. One day, Luke has a vision of Obi-Wan, who tells him to find his old master Yoda. Luke travels to see Yoda and begins his Jedi training. But Darth Va-der catches Han and Leia, and Luke has to help them. Luke fights Darth Vader, but he loses. Vader cuts off

Luke’s hand and tells Luke the shocking news that he is his father. Luke escapes to the Rebel Alliance. They give him a new hand – a cyborg hand.

Return of the Jedi

Luke returns to Yoda to fi nish his training. Yoda tells him that to complete his Jedi training he has to fi ght Vader again. He also says Vader is Luke’s father and Leia is his twin sister. The Empire is building a new Death Star. Luke travels there to fi nd Vader after Yoda’s death. He fi nds him and they fi ght. The Emperor is also there. Luke wins, but he can’t kill his father. The Emperor attacks Luke and tries to kill him. When Vader sees this, he feels that he must save his son and he attacks the Emperor. Vader kills the Em-peror, but he is also hurt. He dies a happy man, because he is not evil any more. The Rebel Alliance destroys the Death Star again and everybody celebrates. The Dark Side is destroyed … or is it?

of the droids has information about the Empire’s space station, called the Death Star. The information is for Obi--Wan, and Luke decides to fi nd him. Then, together with a smuggler, Han Solo, they travel to the Planet of Alde-raan, Leia’s home. Obi-Wan also tells Luke that he has Jedi powers and starts to train him. Together they fi nd the Death Star and rescue Leia. They also destroy the Death Star, but Darth Vader kills Obi-Wan Kenobi. Han, Luke and Leia escape and join a group of rebels, called the Rebel Alliance.

The Empire Strikes Back

The Empire wants revenge. They want to find Han, Luke and Leia, who are hiding on a frozen planet, Hoth. One day, Luke has a vision of Obi-Wan, who tells him to find his old master Yoda. Luke travels to see Yoda and begins his Jedi training. But Darth Va-der catches Han and Leia, and Luke has to help them. Luke fights Darth Vader, but he loses. Vader cuts off

Luke’s hand and tells Luke the shocking news that he is his father. Luke escapes to the Rebel Alliance. They give him a new hand – a cyborg hand.

Return of the Jedi

Luke returns to Yoda to fi nish his training. Yoda tells him that to complete his Jedi training he has to fi ght Vader again. He also says Vader is Luke’s father and Leia is his twin sister. The Empire is building a new Death Star. Luke travels there to fi nd Vader after Yoda’s death. He fi nds him and they fi ght. The Emperor is also there. Luke wins, but he can’t kill his father. The Emperor attacks Luke and tries to kill him. When Vader sees this, he feels that he must save his son and he attacks the Emperor. Vader kills the Em-peror, but he is also hurt. He dies a happy man, because he is not evil any more. The Rebel Alliance destroys the Death Star again and everybody celebrates. The Dark Side is destroyed … or is it?
