Blast Off To Mars Ages 5 (completed K)-10 Children take a trip to Mars as kid astronauts to learn about its features and what we would need to live there. Our Favorite Solar System Ages 7-12 Children discover the special characteristics and motions of each planet in this active study of the solar system. Park Programs Insect Safari Ages 4-12 Children in costumes help the group identify crawly creatures. Children will meet live insects, learn about their special lifecycles, and discover they can safely get up close to these awesome wild creatures. Willow Pond Ages 4-10 In this puppet show, Toad meets many other animals living in and around Willow Pond who are changing and growing faster than you can say ’metamorphosis’. Children hike to discover wildlife in and around the pond. Nature’s Neighborhood Ages 5 (completed K)-12 Children use finger puppets to discover the basic needs of living organisms. Children visit different habitats in the park on a discovery hike. Water Explorers Ages 5 (completed K)-12 Hands-on collection and observation help children learn about food chains and the amazing adaptations of aquatic creatures. Specialty Park Programs NEW!! Fishing Fun Camps Ages 5 (completed K)-12 Get your kids outside with fishing fun. This program will cover safety, equipment, techniques, and patience. The state of Wisconsin requires chaperones over the age of 16 to have a valid Wisconsin Fishing License if they are in any way touching the fishing equipment, bait, or fish. Equipment will be provided. •Available only at Scout Lake Park •Program lasts 2 hours •20 children maximum •Additional equipment fee: $15

Nature’s Story TimeAges 3-6

Everyone loves a good story-especially if it involves nature and puppets. Children will have fun as they participate in the story telling and learn about wild creatures. Programs include a craft.

Caterpillar’s LunchboxLearn about caterpillar and butterfly as they grow with Eric Carle’s The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Cricket Song“Chirp, chirp” will captivate children as we explore crickets and how they grow with Eric Carle’s The Very Quiet Cricket.

T is for TurtleChildren learn about turtle and tortoise adaptations with Eric Carle’s story The Foolish Tortoise and meet a turtle.

Let’s Get GrowingTake an imaginary journey to the garden that Jack grew as we read Henry Cole’s Jack’s Garden and explore plants as they grow.
