REQUIREMENTS FOR ELEMENTARY TEAMS:

• Current 2nd - 4th graders attending GCPS or obtaining official transfer • Attend Candidate/Parent Meeting: February 13, 2018 at 5pm in the Dance Studio (Building 10) • Attend Elementary Tryouts: March 24th 10am (Dance Studio) • Pass at least 3 out of the 4 nine-weeks in the current school year • Must have good conduct all year long

REQUIREMENTS FOR VARSITY & MIDDLE SCHOOL: • Current 5th-11th graders attending GCPS or official transfer • Attend Candidate/Parent Meeting: 2/13 at 6:30pm in Studio • Attend Team Clinic: March 5-8 at 4:00-6:30pm in Gym • Attend Team Tryouts: March 9th • Must be eligible during tryouts & turn in a Grade Sheet • Pass at least 3 out of 4 nine-weeks • Must receive only positive feedback from teacher/staff

TRYOUT CLINIC & AUDITION INFO:

• You will learn a jazz routine and a kick series • You will be asked to do your right and left splits • You will audition in front of 3 judges in groups • The results will be handed out that evening

STARS DANCE TEAM PARTICIPATES IN:

• Induction Ceremony • Summer Camp • Social Events • Pep Rallies and Basketball Games • Winter Showcase • Competitions • Spring Show • Community Events throughout the year • End of year Banquet • Work hard, but have a great time!!
