Standing Taller The Standing Taller process is an essential part of our reporting to parents/carers. You will be mailed the results in Week 4 and 8 of each term to allow you to monitor the student in every individual subject, keeping parents/carers well informed of the student’s strengths and areas for further effort. Students are assessed against the Explicit Explanation of Campus Values, detailed below, in every subject and roll call. Always contributes positively to the learning environment, actively participating in class activities and working towards their personal goals. Always interacts appropriately, respectfully and positively with students and staff. Always works in a positive manner with all members of the class. Always completes work to personal best in an organised manner. Always has equipment. Exemplary role model of respect, responsibility, integrity and fairness, who follows all classroom expectations. 9 Student who consistently strives for personal best. Regularly goes beyond teacher expectations. Regularly contributes positively to the learning environment, actively participating in class activities and working towards their personal goals. Interacts appropriately, respectfully and positively with students and staff. Coaches others to achieve their personal best. Consistent role model of respect, responsibility, integrity and fairness, who follows all classroom expectations and has equipment for lessons. 8 Student who strives for personal best. Contributes positively to the learning environment, participating in class activities and working towards their personal goals. Mostly takes pride in the campus, following classroom expectations and models respect, responsibility, integrity and fairness. 6 Student who usually strives for personal best. Occasionally requires prompting to participate in class activities and encouragement to work towards their personal best. Sometimes requires teacher direction to interact appropriately, respectfully and positively with students and staff. Follows class expectations with occasional prompting. Mostly has all equipment. Understands campus values. 5 Student who sometimes requires prompting to participate in class activities and encouragement to work towards their personal best. Can interrupt the learning of others in the class and not follow the classroom expectations. Makes excuses for work not meeting the class expectations. Can have equipment for lessons. Occasionally interacts appropriately, respectfully and positively with students and staff. Knows campus values. 4 Student who usually requires prompting to participate in class activities and encouragement to work towards their personal best. Often interrupts the learning of others in the class and does not follow the classroom expectations. Can have equipment. Interactions with students and staff are sometimes disrespectful and inappropriate, requiring teacher direction. Uses put downs as a source of humour or to disrupt the class. 3 Student who requires constant prompting to participate in class activities and work towards their personal best. Regularly interrupts the learning of others in the class and regularly does not follow classroom expectations. Interactions with students and/or staff are disrespectful. Equipment is often missing for lessons. 2 Student who lacks motivation to participate in class activities and is not working towards their personal best.
