Standard Operating Policies and Procedures Committee (SOPPs)
What are the Bylaws/SOPPs?• The Bylaws are the rules governing the conduct of the affairs
of WCCS as an organisation• The SOPPs document outlines the extension of these Bylaws
and contains standard operating policies and procedures prescribed by the Board of Directors not inconsistent with these bylaws
• It is important that the SOPPs document remains consistent with both the Bylaws and the decisions made during congress
Purpose of the SOPPs Committee…• This committee is essential to the undertakings of the World
Congress of Chiropractic Students• It is mandated to update the SOPPs document in accordance
with congress and Board of Directors decisions, whilst keeping them in line with the Bylaws
How the Committee Works…*This is the only elected committee at congress due to the importance of the documents and committee tasks
The committee is made up of 3 members and 1 BoD member. The member roles are:
1. The Chair. • Coordinate the meeting; making sure the committee moves
through the tasks set for them• The communication point between the BoD and the
committee • Keeps a list of which points were
amended/appended/deleted/added from that meeting which are emailed to the BoD member after each meeting.
2. "The Document Keeper”• Responsible for updating the most recent SOPP doc on
DROPBOX with the new changes as they are made on the Google Drive doc.
