In back, a pair of tall 50/50 cargo doors conveniently swing 180° out of the way for access to an immense 60.5 cu. ft. of cargo space behind the 2nd row. Ford Telematics is an exclusive, customizable system that tracks real-time vehicle status across an entire taxi line via a single web portal to foster efficiency, productivity and safe driving habits. Authorized personnel have secure access to monitor a wide range of performance metrics, including vehicle location, speed, hard braking or acceleration, excessive idling, safety belt use, oil life and engine temperature. Details are delivered through a GPS-enabled Black Box – that constantly processes and records data – connected to the vehicle’s computer systems. tumble streets, the Built Ford Tough® Transit Connect Taxi is engineered and certified to meet ultra-stringent Ford Light Commercial Vehicle Durability standards. In fact, the equivalent of over 3 million miles was covered in arduous testing,

including structural evaluations in real-world conditions like stop-and-go taxicab use, plus constant loading and unloading.

Interior design and amenities will attract repeat fares.The purpose-built, vinyl-covered seats within the Transit Connect Taxi are sculpted for comfort, and two-tone patterned for soothing effect. Flooring is comprised of long-last, easy-clean vinyl too. If soft seating surfaces are preferred, choose the cloth-covered option. From the recessed 2nd-row seating, both windows are power operable for fresh air and fresh sights. Refreshing rear-seat air conditioning or heating can be personalized, from temperature to circulation.

Drivers will especially value the smart instrumentation, which is available with SYNC®1 connectivity that not only enables hands-free phone calls and music selection, but is equipped with a compass, plus an instrument panel cluster screen and an LCD center-stack screen for information at a glance.

Operator perks extend to the multi-adjustable seat and steering wheel, along with one-touch-up/-down windows, a 12-volt powerpoint, and the handy overhead storage bin. Overlaid dynamic guides are especially helpful features of the rear view camera option.

Its smooth, supple ride is due in good measure to a modern twist-beam rear suspension that prioritizes satisfaction, which is something drivers will appreciate just as much as each passenger will.

The proven powertrain features a 2.5L iVCT 16-valve I-4 engine paired with the 6-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission for quick response, low-rpm cruising, and the option to switch to manual mode at any time. Speed-sensitive electric power-assisted steering works in conjunction with active nibble control and pull-drift compensation, adapting continuously to driving style and conditions. Torque Vectoring Control, Curve Control and hill start assist add additional layers of driving confidence. To regulate top speed, an engine governor is available.

The Easy Fuel® capless fuel filler makes the simple act of getting gas even simpler.
