security cylinders

Security cylinders contain two independent lockingmechanisms. The first is a traditional 6-pin tumblermechanism with spool drivers for greatly increasedpicking resistance.

The second is an innovative 5-tumbler rotating discmechanism with sidebar engagement. The rotatingdiscs are spring loaded and block the bottom of thekeyway.

Yale® inTouch™ Locksets are available with a variety of strike options. All strikes are located on the same verticaland horizontal center lines as the latchbolt. Some strikes are available in a variety of lip lengths to accommodatevarying thickness of doors and frames. To determine the proper length of the lip, measure from the center line of thestrike to the edge of the jamb and add 1/4" (6mm). All strikes are reversible.

voice guided programming with a simple touchVoice guided prompts and the interactive touchscreen make updates to programming simple and effortless.

inTouch™ features the choice of Easy or Advanced operating modes. Locks are shipped as a default from the factory in Easymode. The desired operating mode should be determined before the completion of lock installation, but can be changed at alater time if required.

easy modeProvides a simple, easy-to-use system for general use. In Easy mode, a total of 9 PIN codes are available for access.Code assignments consist of one (1) Supervisor code andeight (8) User codes.

Initial programming is performed by the use of the "I" button(located under the battery cover of the inside escutcheon) andvoice guided instruction. Subsequent changes toprogramming can be performed through the touchscreen bythe use of the Supervisor code.

While in Easy mode, the lock can be programmed for Passagemode, Silent mode or alternate Language settings. Auto re-lock time, wrong code entry limits and shut down times arenot adjustable and will remain as factory default.

Note: After initial set-up, individual User PIN codes cannot be added to or deleted from programming. Uponentering the Register/Change user code function, ALLexisting User codes are deleted and must be re-enteredif needed.

advanced modeProvides a 3-tier PIN code system for commercial use. InAdvanced mode, a total of 1,000 PIN codes are available foraccess. The 1,000 PIN codes are divided into twenty (20)Supervisor groups of fifty (50) User codes per group.Advanced mode also has a Master code which is used onlyfor programming and does not grant access.

All programming is performed through the touchscreen by useof the Master code or Supervisor code and voice guidedprompts. Only the Supervisor code can establish user codes.

While in Advanced mode, the lock can be programmed forPassage mode, Silent mode, Lockout mode or alternateLanguage settings. Auto re-lock time, wrong code entry limitsand shut down times are adjustable can be changed fromfactory default.

The operating mode can be changed from Advanced to Easyor visa versa for any lock. Changing the mode resets the lockto factory defaults and all prior programming and PIN codeswill be lost.
