STALLHOLDERS WANTED! Our Community Market Day is now only 3 months away and we are
endeavouring to make the day a truly successful one. To do so we need
as many stallholders as possible.
We are calling on any craftspeople, artisans and producers who would like
to take part in the day and we are also seeking local community groups
who would like to take advantage of this community day to advertise their
service or, indeed, use the opportunity to raise much needed funds.
Stalls are $25 per site (3mt x 3mt), with non-profit community groups
being allocated a stall site for free.
Any funds we raise on the day will go back to an identified local project (to
be announced closer to the date).
Would you like to hold a stall or have a space allocated for a community
group? Contact Phil on [email protected] and you
will be forwarded an expression of interest form.
This day is a marvelous opportunity for our community to come together.

Brimbank Bicycle Education Centre
We continue to finalise the lighting upgrade at the BBEC, leading to a riding track complete with highly visible com-puterised lighting - upgrading all traffic lights, and cross-ing lights.
Another project has been the upgrading our previously donated dual cab tricycle to electric (battery) power. On hearing that the tricycle wasn’t being highly utilised be-cause the carers of disabled clients found the tricycle dif-ficult to accelerate when stopped, we decided to invest further. This major project (over $1500 in cost) has been funded through recent BBQs—what a great way to use our hard-earned funds!
Our next project for the centre will be ensuring the safety of the riding track and surrounds, through undertaking a safety audit and rectifying any identified concerns. This project has been approved by the BBEC committee.

Adopt a Park
We finally have per-

with our “Adopt-a-

“take possession” of
the area on the
lakes, on the corner
of Parmelia Drive
and Mawson Close,
Taylors Lakes.
Initially we will be un-
dertaking general ti-
dying, planting and
mulching and will
have a working bee
day in September—
to be announced
soon.
Future plans will
hopefully include im-
provements for the
area.
Bunnings BBQ up and running!
AUGUST BUNNINGS BBQ What a successful day!
Despite severe staff shortages, we raised a highly credible $1300 at our most recent Bunnings BBQ, held on August 20.
Thanks to all of our helpers on the day, with a special thanks to Stephen , Shelton and Phil who each put in a full day to ensure our BBQ was viable. We were also grateful to one of our friends, Bernadette, who helped out during the peak period in the afternoon—we would have struggled without her help!
Our next Bunnings BBQ is Saturday October 15. We hope you can come on down to Bunnings Watergardens, say hi and buy a sausage (or three!).
Bunnings BBQs continue to be our most lucrative fundraisers and we are grateful for the support of Bunnings, Watergardens.
