IGP Institute in Action

Participants of the GEAPS/K-State Grain Elevator Managers course engage in a discussion over the transportation of grains taught by Carlos Campabadal, IGP Institute grain storage and feed manufacturing outreach specialist.

IGP–KSU Pet Food Formulation for Commercial Production participants apply knowledge learned in the classroom to bake pet treats in the Pet Food Processing lab.

“I really wanted to learn how the mill works and all the details of the flour milling process. This course has given me a much better understanding for what we are doing every day, and it can help me troubleshoot in the future.” –Emily Kreinbrink, product development scientist at the Mennel Milling Company, IAOM–KSU Introduction to Flour Milling

“The formulation is information you can’t get everywhere. Having real hands-on experience with the programs we use is invaluable.” –Kristin Jensen, consumables technician at PetSmart, IGP–KSU Formulation for Commercial Production

“The information given is great, and having the ability to get networking and feedback from other people’s experience was the best part of this course.” –Shayne Abele, Farmers Grain company, GEAPS/K-State Grain Elevator Managers
