HF Welding Technology
The HF welding process heats only the edges of the strips. The edges are forged together by the weld rolls causing the molten metal and metal oxides to be ejected. The hot metal below the surface then fuses into a weld.

Quality Lab Testing
SNB has a well-equipped testing laboratory to carry out
metallurgical and mechanical tests standards in output
delivery
HARDNESS TEST:-
Test carried out before and after bright annealing in
sheets.
R.A VALUE:-
Roughness average value measured on both rolls and
strips during rolling.
COUPING TEST:-
Couping is done for the sheet which are to be used in
deep drawing and bending operation.
FLARING TEST:
The standard procedure for this test to flare the end of
the pipe to a diameter 1.2 times the outside diameter.
HYDROSTATICS/PNEUMATIC PRESSURE TEST:
As per the ASTM-A450&530 standards, 100%Hydrostatics
is carried out on all pipes & tubes using hydraulic and
pneumatic systems.
EDDY CURRENT:
This test is carried out on the entire line of tubes as per
the ASTM-426 to determine the sub surface in
homogeneities. This test is carried out on demand only.
RADIOGRAPHY TEST:
On demand, we can also provide the Radiography
testing through the Approved Inspection Agencies.
OTHER TESTS
CORROSION TEST:
This test is conducted only when specifically requested.
FLANGE TEST:
There are no cracks on welded section or on the base
metal.
BENDING TEST:
Each length of finished pipe is subjected to the
hydrostatic or pneumatic pressure test. Each pipe must
withstand the pressure without leakage.
FLATTENING TEST:
This test is conducted to check the strength of the
welded section by subjecting, it to extreme compression
stress. If the test piece with stand the specified
compression stress without cracking, it is determined to
be acceptable.
REVERSE FLATTENING TEST:
There are no cracks or blow holes can be observed on
welded section.
