Demographic data was gathered in September 2014: A total of 1,890 members of the Acoustic Guitar, Strings, and Ukulele audiences responded to survey invitations sent by e-news, web, and social posting. No incentive was provided. All other data was gathered in April 2015 in a separate study: A total of 887 members of the Acoustic Guitar, Classical Guitar, Strings, and Ukulele audiences responded to survey invitations sent by enews and web and social posting. Respondents were offered the chance to win one of ten $25 Amazon Gift Cards. Complete tabulations of both surveys are available upon request.
