Complete the following learning activities over the next two weeks in your homework book Keep a timetable of your learning to keep yourself on track.

Be sure to create a safe, quiet learning space, free of distractions.

Keep a Diary Write every night what your day was like. What did you do? What did you learn?

Design a New School Logo Design a new school logo to represent our school. Label the parts of your logo.

Write a Poem or Story Write a dream time story in the form of a poem or short narrative. Illustrate your writing.

Create an Artwork Design an A4 size piece of artwork. You might like to look at www.arthubforkids.com.au for inspiration.

Space Craft Complete the design task of a spacecraft. Don’t forget to plan first.

Give Instructions Write the recipe to cook/bake your favourite food. For example, the recipe for chocolate cookies.

Behind the News Watch a BTN story or the news (with an adult) and list 5 main ideas from the story. What did you learn? https://www.abc.net.au/btn/

Book Review Read a book and complete the My Book Report sheet. Write a summary and a recommendation (why should others read this book?).

Number Talk Run a number talk with your family. For example, ask them to solve 19+8= then ask them in how many ways they solved it.

Draw a Map Draw a map of Australia and locate the states and territories, capital cities and major landmarks, for example Uluru.

Research Research at least 5 VIP’s (very important points) for the Moon, Sun and Earth. Draw a labeled diagram of the Moon, Sun and Earth.

Endangered Animals - Complete the project sheet. Design colourful poster or brochure on an endangered animal. Describe the animal, its habitat, its diet, reasons for extinction.

Money Challenge In how many different ways can you make $5 dollars using 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, $1 and $2 coins.

Times Tables Learn and practice your times tables. Get someone to test you.

Cartoon Connection Create a cartoon on the Cartoon Connection template. You can include text, dialogue or images.

Fitness Timetable Create a weekly timetable showing how you are keeping active. For example, star jumps, aerobics and stretching.

Find a Word Create a find a word using the template. You can get a family member to find your words.

Persuade Me Write a persuasive text on ‘Zoos are No Place for Animals’. You need to Plan, Compose, Revise, Edit, Publish.

Make and Create Complete the Cosmic Dance of the Sun, Earth and Moon task.

Newman’s Complete the word problems in your book. Show your working out.

Handwriting Write the alphabet out on the handwriting paper using kick.
