Fill out the fields with the account details given to you.

We publish half-termly reports for individuals and schools, giving a summary of student activity on Your Favourite Teacher – for example, the number of logins, quizzes attempted, average scores and most popular topics. We also publish summarised reports for schools showing the highest performers, and which students may need additional prompting.

We’ll send these to you at the end of each half-term but if you’d like to sync them up with a school event, such as a Parents Evening, Academic Review Day or mocks, just drop us an email at [email protected]. We’re happy to report on students in tutor group, class group or with specific focus groups (eg an underperforming group or Pupil Premium students) – just send us this data and we’ll work out magic for you!

You can also see an individual student’s progress live on the system right from your Dashboard.

Student Progress

When you log in, you’ll see your school group or groups. Click on ‘Full User

Reports’ to see more.

Now you’ll see each student and the number of courses they’re

enrolled/completed. You can sort by clicking on a column heading.

Remember, it takes a long time to complete a course, so you’ll need to look

deeper at lessons, topics and quizzes! Click on a name, or ‘see details’.

Now I can see every course this student has started. I can sort by clicking on a heading – remember, your

student may be enrolled on 30 courses and probably hasn’t started them all!

Click ‘see details’ to see more about the student’s activity in that course.

Here you can see the student’s progress through topics, assignments and quiz results

using the left menu.

Here you can see the user has passed all of the quizzes, and that they took some

of them more than once.

Why can’t I see a whole course at once?

We have a feature called ‘video progression’; this means that you need to watch the video all the way through before the rest of that lesson will appear. We made this change due to school feedback; we don’t want students racing through before they have really watched the video, which is the best part of our courses! Be patient; once the video is finished, the page will refresh and topics, quizzes, downloads and podcasts will appear.

I can see the wrong set of courses

We are happy to hide the courses which aren’t relevant to your users, and make sure the rights ones are added to your account. Just drop us an email at [email protected] and let us know what your preferences are. We are happy to make arrangements for individuals – for example, if one class is studying Macbeth and another is studying Romeo and Juliet, we can sort this for you!

If you’re signed up to a subject – eg Geography – you’ll automatically get new courses in that subject as we publish them. So there’s always something new to do!

Password reset issues

Most users should be able to reset their passwords easily on the website. However if your password reset email does not arrive or you’re having troubles getting logged in, just email us at [email protected] and we’ll help you out.

I am locked out!

On rare occasions, you or users on your network may get a message saying you’ve been locked out. This is an internet security measure meaning if a large number of users on the same network try to login at the same time with the wrong password, the system locks temporarily. This is to prevent accounts being hacked. This lock is temporary and will only last a couple of minutes. If you have any further issues, please email [email protected] and we’ll give you a hand.

I want more staff accounts!

When your school or club signs up for Your Favourite Teacher, we’re happy to make accounts for any or all of your staff. Everyone works slightly differently – some schools use tutors to manage their students, and some use subject team, mentors or middle leaders. Just let us know which staff you’d like to add, and if they should be added to any particular group, and we’ll set them up!

I have an idea for a new feature

We love your feature ideas – they’re a great resource for us and help us to make the platform as brilliant as possible! If you have an idea, please email [email protected]. We can’t do them all straight away, but if the idea is popular we can add it to our long-term roadmap for development. Look out for future feature ideas in our newsletters; we’ll ask students and staff to vote on what they’d like to see from us first!

I want to spread the word!

We absolutely love it when schools refer other schools to us – that word of mouth recommendation is so helpful! If you love our platform and find it helpful to your students, please tell your friends and colleagues. We offer a referral discount for other schools, clubs or if your MAT/Trust comes on board!

I want to work with Your Favourite Teacher!

We’re made by teachers for teachers, and from time to time we have opportunities for teachers to work with us writing courses, presenting courses on camera, and testing our content. We generally want to work with practicing teachers as they have fresh classroom experience. Some of our colleagues work several days per week in school and 1 day per week with us. We’ll always advertise opportunities on our social media to make sure you have a chance to get involved!
