Pastoral Care Grief Support - Thursday, May 3, 9-10am Nativity of Our Lord’s Grief Support Group will meet this Thursday in the Bride’s Room from 9-10am. Nativity hosts a monthly group to support anyone who has suffered the loss of someone or something of value. Grief is a personal experience but is often eased by sharing your story with others. We typically meet the First Thursday of each month September-June in the Bride’s Room. All are welcome! Food Collection Weekend - May 5-6 Please consider bringing a bag of non-perishable food to church with you next weekend for Keystone’s community food shelf. Thank you! Food Drive Thank You We would like to thank all who donated to the MN FoodShare March Campaign! This year Nativity parish and school donated $7,430 and 2,185 lbs. of food and to Keystone Community Services, our local food shelf. A special thank you goes out to the 4th grade Girl Scouts (pictured on the front cover), their leaders and parents, and especially Molly Lee who led their efforts. Thank you to Widmer’s for donating the grocery bags, to the Family Service Morning volunteers who prepared birthday bags, to those who loaded the truck including school staff, and Judy Regnier and Joy Knopp who deliver donations to the food shelf through out the year. We are blessed to serve the hungry in our neighborhood!

From the Hip Adoration Sunday
“In thy presence there is fullness of joy.” —Psalm 16:11
Dear parishioners and friends, At all Lord’s Day Masses next weekend, Nativity of Our Lord will host Fr. Victor Warkulwiz from the Apostolate for Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. Fr. Victor travels nationally and internationally to invite, enlighten, and inspire parishioners in their parish’s Perpetual Adoration program. Our parish began Perpetual Adoration in May of 1994, and the Eucharist has been revered continually in the Adoration Chapel ever since. Nativity’s beautiful chapel, located near the southeast church entrance, creates a quiet warm atmosphere for greater intimacy with our Lord. Eucharistic Adoration is the secret to knowing the love of Jesus Christ, states Pope Francis, and he adds, “One cannot know the Lord without being in the habit of adoring in silence. . . In the silence of adoration, He is the Lord and I adore Him.” In the next week, please open your heart to committing to just one hour per week with the Blessed Sacrament, whether that hour is spent reading, praying the rosary, or just relaxing in the sweet peace that comes from being in the Presence of God. Also, please plan on attending as Fr. Victor celebrates Mass with us and guides us to greater communion with Christ. An easy sign-up form to become a committed adorer will be available at all Masses. May Christ bless you this week and always, Father Patrick Hipwell

Liturgy Eucharistic Minister (Re-)Commissioning - May 12-13 Attention all Eucharistic Ministers (new and old): Every three years, the Archdiocese requires parishes to recommission all current Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. This also gives us the opportunity to commission others who are interested in joining this important liturgical ministry for the first time. This commissioning will take place the weekend of May 12-13. You can simply attend any weekend Mass of your choosing, and the commissioning will take place during Mass after the homily. All current and new Eucharistic Ministers should plan to attend. Contact Patrick Henning at [email protected] for more information. Pyx Return - May 12-13 If any Eucharistic Minister has a pyx that they are not actively using, please return it to the sacristy the weekend of May 12-13. Thank you!
