Finding all the factors of the given number:
Example: Find all the factors of 12
(Look carefully at the underlined factors)
Here the underlined numbers are the numbers that can divide the given number 12
completely. Hence they are all the factors.
Thus, the factors of 12 are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12
Similarly, the factors of more than one numbers can be written.
Example: Find the factors of 15 and 18 and then find out HCF:
