During this past week, Mrs. Bentley and I sent
out a number of school brochures to our parish
and school families. Those brochures contain
helpful information with insights about the
advantages of our parochial school. I invite
everyone in our parish to become a promoter
of St. Thomas School.
One of the most powerful ways of encouraging
families to consider sending their children to our
school is by word of mouth. I ask each of you
to consider passing on our school brochure to a
friend, a neighbor, a family member, or a
colleague who might benefit from the
education that St. Thomas can offer their
children. The goal is invite students to St.
Thomas who are not already enrolled in
another Catholic school.
All our parishioners, even if you don’t have
children in our grade school, can see the fruits
of our school when our families gather together
at Mass in the church. Our parish school helps
keep our parish young especially when we see
our children serving or volunteering at a Donut
Sunday. You can help especially by
encouraging new families to look at St. Thomas.
Share the good news. STS has a great
academic program with an excellent staff. We
offer supplemental instruction and gifted
programs to meet the needs of each individual
student. The value of our extra-curricular
programs can be seen when our band
performs or when our students put on the spring
musical. Most importantly, STS is a safe and
supportive environment for young people to be
taught the Catholic Faith, good discipline, and
Christian values. Catholic and non-Catholic
students are challenged to grow into good
future leaders in our society.
Thanks to your generosity, our Sponsor a
Student, Empower Illinois, and the Msgr. Watson
Scholarship Fund provide financial assistance
according to a family’s need. If tuition is a
factor, encourage your friends to ask about
financial aid. If you need more brochures or
want to know more about our school, please let
us know.

recruiting has begun for team members.
