November 4, 2018 Thirty-First Sunday in Ordinary Time Dear Parishioners, Many thanks to all who helped to make our first "Trunk-or-Treat" event such a huge success. We had a tremendous turnout of trick-or-treaters -- and all seemed to have a fantastic time. It was a wonderful opportunity to gather to-gether as a parish community for fun and fellowship. I have heard some folks already looking forward to next year's gathering and planning their trunk deco-rations. During this month of November we pray for the holy souls in purgatory. We are reminded that one of the spiritual works of mercy is to pray for the living and the dead. Once again, a book has been placed near Saint Joseph's shrine in which you may enroll the names of your beloved dead who will be remembered throughout the month. Don't forget that our Merciful Harvest is quickly approaching. Please respond to our requests for donations of coats and clothing, groceries -- and especially helping hands for set up and day-of assistance. I am grateful to Deacon Paul and the host of committee chairs who have already been putting in so many hours of hard work to organize the outreach event. Remember to vote on Tuesday!
