Por amor a Sión no me callaré y por amor a Jerusalén no me daré reposo, hasta que surja en ella esplendoroso el justo y brille su

salvación como una antorcha. Entonces las naciones verán tu justicia, y tu gloria todos los reyes. Te llamarán con un nombre nuevo,

pronunciado por la boca del Señor. Serás corona de gloria en la mano del Señor y diadema real en la palma de su mano. Ya no te

Segunda Lectura 1 Cor 12, 4-11

Hermanos: Hay diferentes dones, pero el Espíritu es el mismo. Hay diferentes servicios, pero el Señor es el mismo. Hay diferentes

actividades, pero Dios, que hace todo en todos, es el mismo. En cada uno se manifiesta el Espíritu para el bien común. Uno recibe el don

de la sabiduría; otro, el don de la ciencia. A uno se le concede el don de la fe; a otro, la gracia de hacer curaciones, y a otro más, poderes

milagrosos. Uno recibe el don de profecía, y otro, el de discernir los espíritus. A uno se le concede el don de lenguas, y a otro, el de

interpretarlas. Pero es uno solo y el mismo Espíritu el que hace todo eso, distribuyendo a cada uno sus dones, según su voluntad. Palabra

de Dios.

Evangelio Jn 2, 1-11

En aquel tiempo, hubo una boda en Caná de Galilea, a la cual asistió la madre de Jesús. Éste y sus discípulos también fueron invitados.

Como llegara a faltar el vino, María le dijo a Jesús: “Ya no tienen vino”. Jesús le contestó: “Mujer, ¿qué podemos hacer tú y yo? Todavía

no llega mi hora”. Pero ella dijo a los que servían: “Hagan lo que él les diga”. Había allí seis tinajas de piedra, de unos cien litros cada

una, que servían para las purificaciones de los judíos. Jesús dijo a los que servían: “Llenen de agua esas tinajas”. Y las llenaron hasta el

borde. Entonces les dijo: “Saquen ahora un poco y llévenselo al mayordomo”. Así lo hicieron, y en cuanto el mayordomo probó el agua

convertida en vino, sin saber su procedencia, porque sólo los sirvientes la sabían, llamó al novio y le dijo: “Todo el mundo sirve primero

el vino mejor, y cuando los invitados ya han bebido bastante, se sirve el corriente. Tú, en cambio, has guardado el vino mejor hasta

ahora”. Esto que hizo Jesús en Caná de Galilea fue el primero de sus signos. Así manifestó su gloria y sus discípulos creyeron en él.

delights in you and makes your land his spouse. As a young man marries a virgin, your Builder shall marry you; and as a bridegroom

Second Reading 1 COR 12:4-11

Brothers and sisters: There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; there are different forms of service but the same

Lord; there are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone. To each individual the manifestation of the

Spirit is given for some benefit. To one is given through the Spirit the expression of wisdom; to another, the expression of knowledge

according to the same Spirit; to another, faith by the same Spirit; to another, gifts of healing by the one Spirit; to another, mighty deeds;

to another, prophecy; to another, discernment of spirits; to another, varieties of tongues; to another, interpretation of tongues. But one and

the same Spirit produces all of these, distributing them individually to each person as he wishes.

Gospel JN 2:1-11

There was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding.

When the wine ran short, the mother of Jesus said to him, "They have no wine." And Jesus said to her, "Woman, how does your concern

affect me? My hour has not yet come." His mother said to the servers, "Do whatever he tells you." Now there were six stone water jars

there for Jewish ceremonial washings, each holding twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus told the them, "Fill the jars with water." So they filled

them to the brim. Then he told them, "Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter." So they took it. And when the headwaiter

tasted the water that had become wine, without knowing where it came from — although the servers who had drawn the water knew —,

the headwaiter called the bridegroom and said to him, "Everyone serves good wine first, and then when people have drunk freely, an

inferior one; but you have kept the good wine until now." Jesus did this as the beginning of his signs at Cana in Galilee and so revealed

his glory, and his disciples began to believe in him.

Living Our Faith….. Parish Social Ministry

Living the Paschal Mystery means that we empty ourselves in order to be filled with all of God’s glory. In today’s

Gospel, Jesus did something that he really was not ready to do. He even tells his mother that her concern is not his

and that it was not his time to reveal himself. Yet Mary, persists because she knows her son and says, “do what-

ever He tells you.” If you would allow me, I would almost say that Jesus had a conversion moment. He almost re-

minds me of the typical guy who tells his mother that he does not want to do what she wants him to do. He states

that it is not his time yet and then the moment of conversion takes place as he stops, thinks, and realizes that it is

not about Him but about the will of the Father. This is an example of an everyday response by the Lord. As we

live our life of faith we too are called to those everyday situations which ask me to do what I really don’t want to

do because of fear, or embarrassment, or because I don’t have the time, etc. and start letting “go of me” and do

what I’m being called to do, the will of the Father.

Viviendo nuestra fe…….. Ministerio Social Parroquial

Vivir el misterio pascual significa que nos vaciamos para ser llenos de toda la gloria de Dios. En el Evangelio de

hoy, Jesús hizo algo que realmente no estaba listo para hacer. Incluso le dice a su madre que su preocupación no

es suya y que no era el momento de revelarse. Sin embargo, María persiste porque conoce a su hijo y dice: "haz lo

que Él te diga". Si me lo permitieras, casi diría que Jesús tuvo un momento de conversión. Me recuerda al tipo

típico que le dice a su madre que no quiere hacer lo que ella quiere que haga. Afirma que aún no es su momento y

entonces el momento de conversión tiene lugar cuando se detiene, piensa y se da cuenta de que no se trata de Él,

sino de la voluntad del Padre. Este es un ejemplo de una respuesta diaria del Señor. A medida que vivimos nuestra

vida de fe, también estamos llamados a esas situaciones cotidianas que me piden que haga lo que realmente no

quiero hacer por miedo o vergüenza, o porque no tengo tiempo, etc. Participo en el Misterio Pascual al dejar el

“mi” y hacer lo que se me pide que haga, la voluntad del Padre.

From the Office of Safe Environment The CMG Safe Haven online training is replacing the VIRTUS training.

The training consists of 3 vignette style training videos that is

approximately 60 minutes and will include a criminal background check

that must be completed.

These trainings are available in English and Spanish. We will no longer

offer live trainings, all Safe Environment trainings will only be available

online.

The following individuals below will now be required to complete Safe

Haven online training as well:

1. Individuals who have never attended training.

2. Individuals who are currently due for refresher training and had not

attended VIRTUS training.

3. Individuals who are currently due and have not attended VIRTUS

training.

4. Individuals who are out of compliance or past due.
