A MESSAGE FOR YOU
Pg . 3
Did you know? The Christ the King Fall Fiesta is not a fundraiser! The goal of the event is to bring people together… those from the school and parish, young and old (and those in between), multi-language, bilingual and mono-lingual, Bingo players and Bingo callers, margarita drinkers with beer drinkers, all of us for a few hours of fun! This wonderful fun-filled community event offers activities for the entire family including raffles, carnival games, a petting zoo, bingo and bingo for kids, bouncies, a Rock Wall, a Bungee Run, live entertainment, a food court and more! Many people and businesses donate food, drinks, time and talent to make the event a success. Volunteers include students from Benedictine University, Students in National Honor Society and our Life Teen working together to supervise, sell, set-up and clean-up. When everyone spends a little of their evening doing a little bit of the work, everyone wins! Each person will have the chance to make (at least one) new friend, appreciate the work of others, feel good about building up and being part of the community of Christ the King. In this, we know that through our church, we are Jesus for each other and that our work of the Lord has brought us together. We hope to see you at the Fiesta on October 20th from 5 pm to 9 pm!
Sign up to help at the link on the front page of the school or parish website.

Scam Alert!
The Diocese has alerted us to a scam that involves someone impersonating Parish Priests by creating an email account (usually a gmail account) in the name of the
priest in order to scam parishioners out of money. They ask unsuspecting parishioners to send itune cards, scratching the pin number to be sent to the bogus email. Please check any emails coming to you from the parish that they are from our domain, ctk-
catholic.org or ctk-catholicschool.org.

ANUNCIOS

the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

But with you is found forgiveness, O God of Israel.

O God, beyond all praising, we worship You today, And sing the love amazing that songs cannot repay; For we can only wonder at every gift You send, At blessings without number and mercies without end: We lift our hearts before You and wait up on Your word, We honor and adore You, our great and mighty Lord.
Then hear, O gracious Savior, accept the love we bring, That we who know Your favor may serve You as our King; And whether our tomorrows be filled with good or ill, We’ll triumph through our sorrows and rise to praise You still: To marvel at Your beauty and glory in Your ways, And make a joyful duty our sacrifice of praise.

ACT OF FAITH DURING COMMUNION Lord Jesus Christ, I firmly believe that you are present in this Blessed Sacrament as true God and true Man, with your Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity. My Redeemer and my Judge,
I adore your Divine Majesty together with the angels and saints. I believe, O Lord; increase my faith.

The grace of God has reached for me And pulled me from the raging sea And I am safe on this solid ground
The Lord is my salvation
I will not fear when darkness falls His strength will help me scale these walls
I’ll see the dawn of the rising sun The Lord is my salvation
Who is like the Lord our God? Strong to save, faithful in love
My debt is paid and the vict’ry won The Lord is my salvation
My hope is hidden in the Lord He flow’rs each promise of His Word
When winter fades I know spring will come The Lord is my salvation
In times of waiting, times of need When I know loss, when I am weak
I know His grace will renew these days The Lord is my salvation
And when I reach my final day He will not leave me in the grave
But I will rise, He will call me home The Lord is my salvation
Glory be to God the Father, glory be to God the Son Glory be to God the Spirit, the Lord is our salvation
MIRACLE OF GRACE Curtis Stephan © 2008 spiritandsong.com
Miracle of grace, mystery of faith, calling us to venture to the deep.
Though our senses fail, Your graces still prevail, and we become the love that we receive.
Bread of life, Bread of life. Those who eat this bread shall live and never die.
Bread of life, Bread of life. Your true presence in this holy sacrifice.
Bread of life.
Unworthy though we are, You feed the hungry heart with bread come down from heaven above.
And like a grain of wheat, we fall down at Your feet, dying here with You. Oh, let us rise!
Your faithfulness revealed in this covenant You’ve sealed with Your very body and Your blood.
Come, claim your bride again with love that cannot end, for what God joins no one can divide.
John Foley © 1975 New Dawn Music Admin. By OCP
Take, Lord, receive all my liberty, my memory, understanding, my entire will.
Give me only Your love and Your grace: that's enough for me.
Your love and Your grace are enough for me.
Take, Lord, receive all I have and possess. You have given all to me; now I return it.
Take, Lord, receive, all is Yours now; Dispose of it wholly according to Your will.
