Today’s Second Collection Priests Retirement Fund

Please join in thanking the retired clergy of the Archdiocese of San Francisco with a gift to the Priests Retirement Fund Collection. Support of the Fund helps alleviate the financial burden of living, healthcare, and extended care expenses, and ensures that clergy and religious can spend retirement in continued engagement with their communities. The Priests Retirement Fund is an expression of gratitude to these men for a lifetime of ministry and service. “I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them in also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.” John 10:16

    PRAYER LIST

If you have someone you would like to include, please contact the Parish Office.

    You Are Invited

In addition to using your wonderful donations to pay bills for people in emergency situations, volunteers from our St. Patrick’s St. Vincent de Paul Conference spend time discussing with our clients the range of resources available to them. Our volunteers have long recognized the need to learn more about community resources so that we can make better, more fully informed recommendations. To that end, we are sponsoring a series of lectures by representatives of various community agencies. Because the topics being discussed hold great interest for many people, we invite all of you to attend whichever lectures you wish. All are being held on the last Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in Healy Hall. So far, those coming to speak represent the following agencies:

Legal Aid of Marin, September 24 Adopt a Family, October 29 Ritter House, November 26

So Soon? St. Patrick’s parishioners have been incredible in support both of the 5th Sunday collection on July 29 and of the raffle ticket sales, both events underwriting the SVdeP work in our parish. Those 5th Sunday collections are the life blood of this organization and will come only four times a year for the next three years. Therefore, we ask that you again help this ongoing very necessary work on September 30. In the past few weeks, we’ve assisted so many people that, despite these recent infusions, our treasury is perilously low. We have great need of a generous outpouring on the last September Sunday because it will be thirteen weeks before the next SVdeP collection. Thank you very much for your participation.

St. Patrick’s Thrift Shop needs a few more volunteers!

The shop is open for business Tuesday through

Saturday and volunteers work 2, 3, or 4-hour shifts depending on the day.

Volunteers also work on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday to sort, price, and display donated items.

Scheduling is flexible . . . some volunteers work once

a week, some once a month, and some on call.

If you’d like to volunteer, or need more information, please contact

    Barbara Santana Cronin at 415-924-5393.

    Thank you!

CLERGY ABUSE CRISIS GATHER * LISTEN * SHARE

    SOUP SUPPER

    Friday, September 28 6:30-8:00 pm

St. Patrick Parish Hall The clergy abuse crisis affects all of us, directly or indirectly, and raises difficult feelings of anger, hurt, disillusionment, and despair among the faithful. Where do we go from here? A first step towards healing and enacting meaningful change is to gather as a parish family to break bread and talk to one another. Join fellow parishioners for an evening of facilitated small-group sharing and listening in a safe and supportive setting. Soup and bread will be provided. RSVP by calling or emailing the Parish Office: 415-924-0600; [email protected] This event is appropriate for adults. Be sure to line up your babysitter now! Thank you. Monsignor Padazinski
