THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY!

COME, LET US ADORE HIM!! Why do we spend an hour in Eucharistic Adoration?

Any amount of time spent before Most Blessed Sacrament is valuable and beneficial. Listed below are some reasons for spending an hour with our Lord in Eucharistic Adoration:

It is the way to a personal relationship with Jesus. By spending time with Jesus in the adoration, we can establish a truly personal relationship with Him. Because Jesus loves us with an infinite love, we bring an unlimited joy to His Sa-cred Heart when we spend an hour with Him in the Blessed Sacrament.

It’s a generous gift to the Lord of our precious time. It is thanksgiving and gratitude for all the blessings we’ve re-ceived, and in reparation for sin. In the garden He asked his disciples to watch for one hour, “So, could you not stay awake with me one hour? Stay awake and pray that you may not come into the time of trial; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26:41)

Jesus gives us His grace. Jesus stays with us day and night in the Blessed Sacrament, calling out to each of us, “Come to me all you who are weary and find life burden-some, and I will refresh you.” (Matthew 11:28)

It brings peace. The Eucharistic brings peace to our hearts, and people with peaceful hearts make a peaceful world.

It allows us to rest awhile. It gives us time to quiet our mind and heart from the busyness of life, and so that we can concentrate a little on Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.

It gives us time to listen to Our Lord.

WHEN WE RESUME ADORATION THE FOLLOW-ING HOURS ARE AVAILABLE:

Tuesday, 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.

St. Patrick’s church has been blessed to have Eucharistic Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament for 33 years. Adora-tion has had a powerful and deepening impact on the spiritual lives of our adorers. Many of our adorers have had their own specified holy hour for the entire 33 years. During these times of isolation because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have had more time to contemplate and discern our relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Maybe it’s time to consider and pray about the possibility of having your own Eucharistic Adoration hour, a family hour, or share an hour with another adorer, once we resume our regular Eucharistic Adoration.

Dear SAS Families,

Recently Deacon Mike Leman of the Diocese of Cheyenne sent the mes-sage below to me in the hopes of gaining support for the Catholic Schools of the Diocese in the Covid-19 pandemic crises. He is suggesting our families, board members, teachers, and staff send letters to our Congres-sional representatives requesting their support in providing stimulus relief for parents through tax credits and donations to the school. Also included is a sample letter you can use. I urge you to consider sending a letter to each of our representatives at your earliest convenience. Thank you and God Bless!

Cyndy Novotny, Principal SAS

***************************** Friends,

As you are no doubt aware, the Covid-19 pandemic has been cata-strophic for non-public schools. While Congress works towards a fourth phase of economic stimulus relief, it is imperative that assistance to fami-lies our schools serve be included in this package. I have attached a sample letter with specific legislative asks in the hope that you would consider sending the letter to our Wyoming delegates. Please contact: Senator Mike Enzi: http://www.enzi.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/e-mail-senator-enzi Senator John Barrasso: https://www.barrasso.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/contact-form Representative Liz Cheney: https://cheneyforms.house.gov/contact/

Thank you for your consideration. Deacon Mike Leman

********************* Dear (insert Senator or Representative’s name):

The effects of Covid-19 and its economic toll are potentially catastrophic for non-public schools. While Congress works towards a fourth phase of economic stimulus relief, it is imperative that assistance to families our schools serve be included in this package.

The immediate threat to our schools’ springs from the loss of income to our families; many can no longer pay tuition because of being laid off or furloughed. For Catholic schools, this reality is even more pressing be-cause many parishes cannot afford to subsidize this loss in revenue due to their own steep decreases in collections. Several forms of relief are able to assist families and their schools of choice during this time. Most notably, we request your advocacy on the following possibilities:

The public school community has requested another $200 billion in the next Covid-19 aid package. We ask that families of no-public schools be considered as part of the comprehensive needs of K-12 education. In addition to the standard equitable services, 10% of what is made available to public schools should be directed specifi-cally to the non-public school community to provide direct aid to families in the form of means-tested scholarships.

Allow a percentage of K-12 education tuition and expense to be a tax credit or tax deductible as a contribution to a non-profit. Since the 2019 tax deadline has been extended, this credit or deduction could eve apply to last year for an immediate savings for families.

Enact dollar-for-dollar tax credits to scholarship-granting organiza-tions and foundations, encouraging lasting philanthropy.

Expand eligible uses in current 529 Savings plans to all for K-12 education expenses beyond school tuition, to include home educa-tion expenses as an allowable expense.

Sincerely,
