*Wednesday November 18th will be a St Nicholas Family Fun Day at Stevi B's. Mention St. Nicholas School from 11am-9pm and the school will get a fundraising credit!

*The next Home & School Meeting will be Thursday, November 19th at 6:30pm in Mrs Shinners' room. Mrs Preston and Ms Morrin will be presenting on MAP Testing and its application in the classroom. All are welcome to attend.

*Home and School is coordinating a Poinsettia Sale for the holidays. A flier and order form will be in your family envelope.

Beat the Holiday Rush! Now that the calendar has turned to November, it is time to start planning your scrip purchases for all of your holiday needs! From all of the supplies for your Thanksgiving dinner, to Black Friday shopping, we have scrip for all of your purchases. Make your scrip purchases now so that you are not left out in the cold on earning rebates because we happen to be out of the cards you need. Another way to avoid the problem of being out of inventory is being able to purchase scrip online or from your smartphone. If you are interested in learning more about this, please send an e-mail to our scrip mailbox at [email protected].

St. Nicholas School will again have a float in the Freedom Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 5. If you have extra Halloween candy, please send it to the school office to be handed out at the Christmas Parade.

Prayers by the first graders

Due to the Freedom High School football team playing in the level 4 game at Chippewa Falls on Friday I am going to cancel the St. Nick’s Friday night Fundamentals basketball on November 13th. I have a hunch a bunch of kids won’t show because they will either be at the game or their parents will be. We will resume on Friday - November 20th.



Building for the Future - St. Nicholas Community Expansion Project Update

We have some very exciting news!Within 2 months we have reached more than one-seventh of our capital campaign goal!Thank you to all who have contributed thus far – because of YOU the needle is moving and we are making our way up the hill to the Building for the Future! We have more work to do and we remain passionate, hopeful and thankful. The holidays are quickly approaching and what a perfect time to meet with your financial advisors to determine if making a donation for the 2015 Tax Year to the Building for the Future would be beneficial! We have set a goal for July 2016 to raise 100% of the funds needed for the Building for the Future. If you have not turned in your pledge form, please try to make this a priority before the end of the year. If you need a pledge form please pick one up in the parish office or call the parish office and one will be sent to you. In the coming months we will display a progression goal chart outside the church to show our fundraising progress for the Building for the Future. There are two more Open Forum sessions planned so if you have not been able to attend, please join us in the parish hall on one of these dates: December 8th at 6:45 pm or January 12th at 6:45 pm. Thank you to those who have taken their time to attend the Open Forums. We appreciate your time and questions and will take into consideration your suggestions and input.




We will be spending some time in November and December talking about the letter G in GRACE and that it stands for Genuine. These are the words we will use with the students when we ask them to practice being Genuine or recognize those who are being Genuine.

Welcome to this year’s Penny Challenge! Classes will be pitted against each other for the grand prize of a movie and popcorn! Here are the rules:

1.Each penny in your own jar is worth one point

2.You can put silver coins in other people’s jars to subtract from their points. Each other coin will take off its value from other people’s jars.

3.You cannot take coins out of your own or other people’s jars.

4.The class with the most points in their jar by the time of completion gets popcorn and a movie!

The event will take place from November 9th to November 20th. Best of luck!

Hello Parents!Auction planning is in full swing, and we hope everyone is getting excited for the On Wisconsin!! auction on January 30! Please be sure to return your volunteer forms, ticket order forms, and any donations for the auction to the school office as soon as possible.

Also, please excuse our mistake. We inadvertently left Miss Perrino's contact email on the volunteer form letterhead instead of changing it to Ms. Morrin's contact email. It was an oversight on our part and we apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

We look forward to seeing everyone on January 30 at JJ Maloneys!
