Officer responded to Mitchell Street to assist EMS with a female having breathing issues. 0947 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check on Dodson and Webb Ave. No issues/violations. 1222 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at the Harbor Inn. 1237 hrs. Officer conducted a foot patrol assignment on Talbot Street. No issues. 1501 hrs. Officers responded to Mitchell Street for a possible assault between a resident and a daycare provider. Unfounded at this time. 1618 hrs. Officer attended training in Cambridge. 1750 hrs. Officer conducted a follow up at SMPD. 1859 hrs. Officers responded to 113 S. Talbot St. in reference to a male at the bar sending threatening text messages to a family member that he may have a gun. Officers made contact with the male and through investigation it was determined that the male needed to be taken for phycological evaluation. The male was transported to Easton Memorial Hospital for evaluation. 2248 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check of the school complex and the YMCA. 2307 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check of Griffin Dr. and Dodson Ave. No issues. 0048 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check of North St. and Griffin Dr. 0116 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check of the Crab Claw. 0119 hrs. Officer conducted foot patrol of the Maritime Museum. 0223 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check of 605 S. Talbot St. 0233 hrs. September 3 0706 hrs. Officer responded to Mitchell Street for a domestic standby in reference to a child custody exchange. Children exchanged with no issues. 0819 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at the St Michaels Schools. No issues. 0828 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at the YMCA. No issues. 0855 hrs. Officer responded to Brooks Ln for an ongoing traffic complaint. Upon arrival, vehicle in question had already left the scene at a high rate. Complainant continues to call about a dark colored Honda passenger car always in excess of speed in a residential neighborhood. Patrols have been stepped up in the area and the suspected vehicle has been stopped previously. 0915 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at Griffin Apartments. No issues/violations. 1027 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at St Mary’s Square. 1036 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at the Harbor Inn. No issues. 1043 hrs. Officer handled a traffic detail at S. Talbot street and Mulberry Street for Frampton’s funeral home for a funeral service and then led them out of town without incident. 1046 hrs. Officer handled a miscellaneous event in Easton. 1144 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check in the area of Brooks Lane in reference to earlier traffic complaint. Unable to locate vehicle. 1202 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at the Perry Cabin Park. No issues. 1205 hrs. Officers and Executive Assistant Sweeney attended “Lunch with a Cop” at a local establishment with several children sponsored by S.M.Y.L.E. A good time and good community policing event with local children. 1210 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check on Dodson Ave/ Webb Lane. No issues/violations. 1239 hrs. Officer handled a parking complaint at 105 Cherry Lane. 1327 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at Town Hall. No issues. 1428 hrs. Officer responded to 101 N. Talbot St in reference to an alarm. All Ok. 1515 hrs. Officer handled a parking complaint at 101 N. Harbor Dr.

1525 hrs. Officer handled a civil complaint at 109 Mitchell St. 1708 hrs. Officers responded to Mitchell Street in reference to a male found unconscious. EMS arrived on scene and determined the subject was deceased. Corporal Supervisor remained on scene until the Medical Examiner arrived at 0100 hrs. 1829 hrs. Officers responded to the area of New Ln and E. Maple in reference to shots fired and a male with a firearm. Upon arrival the male was located and detained without incident. Through investigation it was determined the rifle in question was a pellet rifle. Further investigation will be conducted. 1856 hrs. Officers responded to 300 Mill St. in reference to an alarm. The building was secure. No crime committed. 2311 hrs. Officer located a fire alarm activation at 401 S. Talbot St. that had not been received by Talbot Center. Both building was cleared of occupants. There were no apparent sights of an active fire. Per owner’s request SMFD and TFD responded and checked both building. No hazards were found. 0426 hrs. Officer completed paperwork at SMPD. 0433 hrs. Officer located an unsecured resident on Marea Terr. The building was cleared. No signs of forced entry. 0453 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check of the School Complex and the YMCA. 0615 hrs. Officer completed the speed camera daily log September 4 0800 hrs. Chief Smith and Captain Oswald attended our “Coffee with a Cop” Zoom meeting. Topics of discussion included COVID, a current issue regarding an air rifle, an unattended death /suspected overdose, parking, and requested participation in our upcoming “conversations on race” meetings. 0900 hrs. Officer worked on district court and manpower scheduling. 0930 hrs. Officer conducted a follow-up in reference to last night’s unattended death. 1440 hrs. Officer responded to Cherry St. for a parking violation and a boat slip violation. 1725 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check of Cherry St. boat slips. 2153 hrs. Officers handled a check welfare call in the area of the high school. 1443 hrs. Officer conducted foot patrols throughout Talbot Street and educated numerous subjects on our mask ordinance. Everyone who was asked to put on a mask did so without incident. This patrol was recorded via body cam. 1543 hrs. Officer provided police information to a subject in reference to harassment. 1801 hrs. Officer handled a lost property call referencing a credit card. Contact was made with Chase and the account was placed on hold. Card was destroyed per request. 1419 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check of the marina. 1611 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check of Griffin Apts. 1657 hrs. Officer assisted TSO with a domestic on Radcliffe. 1826 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at the St. Michaels Marina. 0100 hrs. Officers responded to C-Street for a verbal domestic dispute. While on scene subjects were both intoxicated and had been removed from C-Street. Subjects advised there was a disagreement that occurred. No bodily harm or injuries observed. Officers advised both subjects not to drive due to a strong odor of an alcohol beverage coming from both subjects. 0151 hrs. Officer conducted a traffic stop in front of the Inn at Perry Cabin. Officer observed the intoxicated male subject from the previous domestic dispute at C-Street get into his vehicle and drive off after officers instructed him not to. Field Sobriety was conducted all clues demonstrated signs of impaired by alcohol. Subject was arrested for DUI/DWI. 0230 hrs. Officer transported the arrestee to the Easton MSP Barracks to take the Alcohol Concentration Test. 0402 hrs. Officer conducted report writing at the SMPD. 0606 hrs. 1433 hrs. Officer observed a vehicle on S. Talbot St. driving on the opposite side of the road. The

vehicle later corrected back into its lane and almost rear ended a stopped vehicle at a crosswalk at

Talbot and Carpenter. Vehicle was stopped and SFSTs were conducted. Driver failed all tested

and was found to be 4 times the legal limit. DUI arrest.

1806 hrs. Officer responded to an alarm at the YMCA, later cancelled due to proper passcode.

1948 hrs. Officer found property at Talbot and Mill St. Lost camera brought back SMPD.

September 7

1006 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check/ community policing at the St Michaels Community Center. 1048 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at the St Michaels Business Park. No issues. 1109 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at the Harbor Inn and harbor docks for violations. No issues or violations. 1215 hrs. Officer responded to the Perry Cabin Park (playground area) for found CDS. Property was located on the ground in the playground area and recovered. The property was packaged and processed for disposal. 1920 hrs. Officer responded to the area 1001 S. Talbot St. in reference to reckless operation. The vehicle was located no violation observed. 1936 hrs. Officer assisted a disabled motorist at Marea Terr./ S. Talbot St. 2000 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check of Griffin Apts. 2025 hrs. Officer conducted a traffic stop which later resulted in a suspended driver and a probable cause search. CDS less than 10 grams removed from vehicle. 2240 hrs. Officer located a vehicle parked on the sidewalk Infront of 200 S. Talbot St. The owner was located, and the vehicle was moved. 0303 hrs. Officer conducted foot patrol in the area of Harbor Inn. 0342 hrs. Officer completed paperwork at SMPD. 0535 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check of 300 Mill St. No damage located. 0540 hrs. Officer completed the speed camera daily log.

September 8

0813 hrs. Officer responded to Mulberry Street and Water Street for a parking violation. Vehicle and driver located and vehicle was moved without incident. 0836 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at Muskrat Park. No issues/ violations. 0850 hrs. Officer conducted a foot patrol assignment on Talbot Street. 1017 hrs. Officer conducted a school/ patrol check. No issues.

1202 hrs. Officer conducted admin paperwork (relayed paperwork to District Ct/ 911 Center). 1217 hrs. Officer assisted EMS with an unconscious subject at Water Street. Subject later transported to Easton Memorial Hospital for observation. 1318 hrs. Officer assisted Fire/EMS with an odor of gas inside a residence at North Street. Occupants in the residence along with nearby residents were evacuated until all clear. 1359 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at Griffin Apartments. No issues. 1507 hrs. Officer responded to SMPD for a SERO sign off. 1549 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at 100 North Street. No issues. 1844 hrs. Officer responded to the intersection of Webb Ln/ Perry St. in reference to an MDOP. Upon arrival it was determined that the damage was from a prior case. No crime committed. 2002 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check or Marea Terrace. 2006 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check of the School Complex and the YMCA. 2245 hrs. Officer conducted foot patrol of 213 N. Talbot St. 2345 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check of 933 S. Talbot St. 0030 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check of Griffin Apts. 0229 hrs. Officer was in the area of Grace Street when a loud bang was heard from the area of 127 Grace Street. A check of the area located an audible alarm coming from the Delmarva Power substation yard. Delmarva Power was contacted, and a crew responded. There were no signs of damage or a hazard to the public. Upon the crew’s arrival, they advised that they were going to switch each relay off to check for damage to the power grid. Temporary power outages may occur in the Bay Hundred area as a result. 0445 hrs. Officer completed paperwork at SMPD. 0555 hrs. Officer completed the speed camera daily log.

September 11 0754 hrs. Officer handled a police information incident about a suspicious person and concerns about his actions throughout the county. 0831 hrs. Officer handled a check welfare and assist EMS for a subject who had fallen off a bicycle on Deep Water Point Rd. Officer responded on behalf of the Talbot Sheriff’s Dept. Subject was a little confused and disoriented upon contact. Subject was checked out and refused medical treatment. 1030 hrs. Officer conducted a foot patrol assignment on Talbot Street. No issues. 1052 hrs. Officer responded to North Talbot Street for an elderly female (tourist) who was having trouble breathing, dizziness and vomited all over herself. Officer was able to give the subject some water. EMS responded and transported her to Easton Memorial Hospital for observation. 1108 hrs. Officer responded to Hambleton Village for a check welfare. Upon arrival officer entered the building and observed safety and health hazards as well as located the elderly resident in the rear bedroom lying in the bed complaining of medical issues. EMS was notified and responded. The resident was transported to Easton Memorial Hospital for observation. Talbot Co. Dept of Social Services along with the Upper Shore Aging were notified in regard to the president’s health and living conditions. Both agencies stated they would follow up on the matter. 1426 hrs. Officer responded to 501 S. Talbot Street for a property damage accident involving two vehicles where one vehicle was disabled in the roadway. The disabled vehicle was pushed into the Village Shoppe parking lot to open the roadway and a tow truck was called for its removal. 1518 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at Town Hall. No issues 1528 hrs. Officer responded to W. Chew Ave. for a reported snake in the fireplace. Upon his arrival, he located and extracted the reptile from the residence without incident. 1853 hrs. Officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Watkins Ln/ N. Talbot St. While speaking with the driver, it was admitted CDS was in the vehicle and driver handed it to Officer. Civil citation issued. 2122 hrs. Officer conducted foot patrol in the area of the Harbor. 2210 hrs. Officer located an alarm activation at 100 N. Talbot St. Staff were located nearby and reset the alarm.

2317 hrs. Talbot Center dispatched a look out for a vehicle coming into St. Michaels due to reckless operation. Officers attempted to locate the vehicle with negative results. It was later determined that the vehicle never entered SMPD jurisdiction. 0104 hrs. Officer removed an animal carcass from the roadway near Plummer Dr. 0256 hrs. Officer located several campaign signs in the roadway on Mulberry St. At this time, it is unknown whether or not this is an MDOP. No victims or suspects were located. If an owner comes forward, a case number will be generated at that time. 0330 hrs. Officer completed paperwork and packaged evidence at SMPD. 0555 hrs. Officer completed the speed camera daily log. September 12 0732 hrs. Pfc. Rhodes conducted a patrol check on Mitchell Street. No issues. 0813 hrs. Chief Smith conducted a patrol check at 605 S. Talbot Street. No issues. 0817 hrs. Pfc. Rhodes conducted a patrol check at the St Michaels School. 0824 hrs. Pfc. Rhodes conducted a patrol check at the YMCA. No issues 0825 hrs. Chief Smith conducted a patrol check at 100 Green Street. 0903 hrs. Pfc. Rhodes conducted foot patrol around Fremont Street for the Farmers Market and also around S. Talbot Street for the large gathering of visitors. No issues other than a lost purse with belongings. 0925 hrs. Pfc. Rhodes responded to the town docks near the Town Hall for a sailboat in violation of the posted 4-hour docking requirement. A verbal warning was issued to the Sailing Master and the sailboat was going to be moved. 0931 hrs. Pfc. Rhodes handled a parking violation at 111 Fremont Street. A warning was issued to the unattended vehicle. 0956 hrs. Pfc. Rhodes conducted a patrol check at 213 N. Talbot Street. 1105 hrs. Chief Smith conducted a patrol check on Dodson Ave. No issues/ violations. 1203 hrs. Pfc. Rhodes conducted a community policing event at the St Michaels Community Center.

1244 hrs. Pfc. Rhodes responded back to the Community Center again to continue with the Community Policing. 1344 hrs. Pfc. Rhodes conducted a patrol check at Town Hall. No issues. 1423 hrs. Pfc. Rhodes conducted a foot patrol assignment at the Maritime Museum. No issues. 1646 hrs. Pfc. Rhodes handled a parking complaint at the town docks off Harbor Rd. All vehicles were compliant with no violations. 1704 hrs. Pfc. Rhodes conducted a patrol check on St Mary’s Square. No issues. 1722 hrs. Pfc. Rhodes responded to 102 Mitchell Street for a civil issue involving a child custody exchange between two parents. Children were exchanged without incident. 1747 hrs. Cpl. Adams observed a parking violation at Water and Mulberry. One citation issued. 1801 hrs. Cpl. Adams observed a parking violation at Willow and Talbot. Two citations issued. 1844 hrs. Ptl. Fritz conducted foot patrol in the area of the Harbor. 1948 hrs. Ptl. Fritz and Cpl. Adams were dispatched to the area of 208 N. Talbot St. in reference to a MCVPD involving one vehicle and a deer. The occupants of the vehicle were uninjured. It was determined that the crash occurred near Deep Water Point Rd/ Rt. 33. 2031 hrs. Cpl. Adams observed a parking violation at Willow and Talbot. One citation issued. 2059 hrs. Ptl. Fritz conducted foot patrol in the area of the Harbor. 2132 hrs. Cpl. Adams observed a parking violation at Church and Mulberry. One citation issued. 2139 hrs. Ptl. Fritz conducted a traffic stop at Mulberry St and S. Talbot St. Probable cause was developed and a search was conducted of the vehicle. Less than 10 grams of marijuana was recovered. Citations issued. SM20-00139. 2208 hrs. Ptl. Fritz was dispatched to the area of 111 Mulberry St. in reference to a noise complaint. No violation observed. 2221 hrs. Ptl. The property was recovered and taken back to SMPD for safe keeping pending owner release. 0858 hrs. Officer conducted a patrol check at the St Michaels Schools. No issues. 0918 hrs.
