Friday 17th January 2020 St Matthew’s Friday Feature Young Voices On Thursday 16th, the young voices choir went to Resorts World Arena in Birmingham. We left school at 12:00pm on a coach for a Young Voices concert. Once we got there, we ate our lunch, there was a buzz of excitement as the Arena filled up with nearly 7000 children! After lunch we went to find our seats for a three hour rehearsal. The experience was amazing! Following on from the rehearsal, we had a break for tea then got ready for the performance . It was Darcys 10th Birthday so we all sang happy birthday to her before going back into the arena. The performance was even better than our rehearsal. Tony Hadley, Ruti, The Shires and Urban Strides (dance group) performed for us. Everyone had lights to wave , the atmosphere was electric! We all agreed that it was the best day of our lives!By Mia and Imogen.

Forest Schools “On Friday we created some forced perspective pictures which make people look smaller than they usually are. We also made it look like the rest of the group were standing on somebody’s arm. We did a ‘can you guess’ photo with some

bark. We don’t think anyone will guess what it is. Then we made it look like someone was sitting on a tunnel, but they were a few metres away. We think that one is the best out of them all. For a living piece we took a picture of some woodlouse running across the bark. We had so much fun and we really enjoyed it.” by Lucianna
