“I came so that they might have life
and have it more abundantly”
– Jesus Christ.
Dear Friends,
We all need to have life and have it more abundantly.
Jesus doesn’t speak about the life we hold on to our
body by breath. He speaks about life we hold on in
Spirit. It means the wellness of the individual and the
community and the whole of cosmos. It doesn’t mean
that my family and my children have safety and
security. It doesn’t mean that my family and my
children have food. It doesn’t mean that I cling on to
my body which have life and fulfill the desires and
pleasure of it. It means giving safety and security to the
least and the lost of the society. It means giving food to
hungry here and at one corner of the world. It is
seeking wellness of my body and the one at any corner
of the world. I do greatly think about the words in the
First Reading; "Save yourselves from this corrupt
generation." Yes, in knowledge and in ignorance, we
are all corrupt. In knowledge, we corrupt the world by
violence of any kind and in ignorance, we don’t take
any action to prevent the things harming the world. We
don’t take anything to heart unless it happens to us.
That is why Peter too said,
"Repent and be baptized, every one of you,
in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your
sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Dear Friends, let us seek the kingdom of God which
Jesus desired.
I will be leaving for India on Monday around 9 am and
my flight is at 7:45 pm in Chicago. Thanks to you all
for your prayers, love and care. It still remains in
my heart, echoing, Jesus asking me, I have given
everything to you. What have you given me?
Praying for answers,
Fr. Antony Joseph

Celebrate Rural Life on the Feast Day of St. Isidore. Does your family celebrate the patron saint of farm
life? The virtues found in the lives of St. Isidore (Feast Day May 15) and his wife, St. Maria, are exemplary
for all couples: commitment to family, love for the land, service to the poor and a deep spirituality.
This year, consider reciting the Novena to St. Isidore. To download it, and for more information, visit
