Faye De PasqualeFor over four decades Faye has shared

her passion for painting with students and enthusiasts alike through her teaching and involvement in many Art Shows and exhibitions. Faye has exhibited her work and technique widely and has won many awards that

have gained her much recognition throughout her successful career.

Faye’s work ranges in size and uses a number of different media on both canvas and paper. Her passion and inspiration is largely drawn from a visit some time ago to the ever changing and stunning canvas that is the Australian outback. In the heightened color, vast expanses and patterned forms of the outback she found a freedom not experienced in suburbia or country Victoria that Faye says will occupy her creative passions for a lifetime.

Formal qualifications include an Art Diploma in Painting & Graphics from Prahran Institute and Teacher Training Certificate in Art from Hawthorn institute. For many years she has conveyed her passion for art and art history to generations of students. She has taught art in a number of secondary colleges at various levels and particularly enjoyed inspiring and encouraging young and up and coming artists as a specialist art teacher for Year 12 students.

In recent times Faye channelled her skills, energy and enthusiasm into her work with adult art groups, introducing them to a range of techniques and media using pastel, oil, and water colour. On a personal level she has found this work extremely rewarding and uplifting. Faye is extremely committed to her art and is now focusing on exploring her own creativity.

Faye’s work may be viewed online at www.gallery247.com.au/faye-de-pasquale/

Western ChancesMany families in Melbourne’s West

struggle to meet all the costs associated with school, let alone the extras

needed to really progress the talents of our young people.

The objects of Western Chances are to:

“Provide scholarships to young people in Melbourne’s West who do not have the finances, networks and resources to pursue their education and career

goals and fulfil their potential”.

We have found that the scholarships enrich the self-esteem of the young

people, raise the hopes of the young people and their families and, reward teachers, schools and organisations for

their belief in our young people.

Your support of Western Chances would be greatly appreciated.
