Retos del Matrimonio

Hay tiempo para reconstruir su matrimo-

nio!

a tener matrimonios inestables.

amor. Para un contacto: 1-800-966-7982 o viste nuestro sitio

DID YOU KNOW? Preventing child sexual abuse is a partnership.

It requires education, training, and action from parents, other adults, organizations, and chil-

dren. As adults, we need to learn to recognize other adults who are a risk to kids – ours and the others in the commu-nity. April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, which gives us all an opportunity to learn more about what the Arch-diocese of Los Angeles is doing to prevent child sexual

abuse from happening. For more information about the VIRTUS® Child Abuse Prevention Programs for Adults and Children contact [email protected].

¿SABE

USTED?

TRUE CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY

Can you imagine a world such as the one put before us in today’s scripture readings? Communities of believers everywhere would support and encourage one another and be identified as Christians by the way they love each

other. It would be a world with no tears, no death and mourning, no crying out in pain. “Behold, I make all things new,” we hear the Son of God say in the second reading from the book of Revelation (21:5). Is this world of John’s vision only imaginary? Are these faithful followers for whom Jesus prayed only a savior’s dream? Today they are put before us as a worthy

goal. How much closer can we come to this vision of a true Christian community in our lives today?

VERDADERA COMUNIDAD CRISTIANA

Non-Discrimination Policy

St. Joseph Elementary Catholic School admits

students of any sex, race, color, or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. The school does not discriminate against any applicant or employee on the basis of sex, race color, or ethnic origin, the administration of its educational policies, scholarship

programs, athletic, and other school administered programs.

Acceptance

As Roman Catholics, dedicated to the God-given dignity of every human being, we state clearly that there are no discrimination practices in our enrollment policy due to race, ethnic , background, social or economic status in any decision-making. Since we are a Catholic religious oriented school founded for the St. Joseph Catholic Church Parish, we give preference to members

of the St. Joseph Parish and to members of the Roman Catholic Church, but we welcome members of other creeds once our Catholic applicants have been served. While St. Joseph Elementary School does not offer a special needs program, it will attempt to make reason-able accommodations for otherwise qualified applicants. St. Joseph Elementary School cannot accept students with severe academic or behavioral problems. To insure

proper grade placement, new students entering Grade 2-8 take a religion, math and reading test based on the St. Joseph Elementary School curriculum. Prior to entrance to first grade, new students are administered a Readiness Test and Maturity Screening Test. All kindergarten applicants are administered a Maturity Screening Test.

behind the church grounds. There is currently a great

need for donations of wrapped, non-perishable food items, especially cans of beans, fruit, tuna, chicken
