RCIA Classes begin Oct. 17 Classes for RCIA (the Rite of Christian Initiation) begin will begin on Thursday, Oct. 17. These classes (about 20) will meet weekly at 7:00 pm. RCIA classes are primarily for those who are not members of the Catholic Church but are interested in entering the Church, and will be geared towards pre-paring these people to receive the sacraments of initia-tion (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist). RCIA is also open to those who unsure about want-ing to enter the Church and would like to learn more about what the Church teaches.
