PARISH CARNIVAL TODAY!!!!! – It’s finally here! Our Parish Carnival takes place this weekend in our parking lot. Be sure to stop by to sample the delicious food and drink and enjoy the many rides and games that are available. It’s not too late to enter the Carnival Raffle with its wonderful prizes. As long as you purchase your ticket before the final drawing you are able to enter. Tickets are available all day today right up until the time of the raffle which will take place on Sunday evening. Don’t miss out! Enjoy this beautiful weekend with your fellow parishioners. Special thanks go to all of the wonderful vol-unteers who are working so hard this weekend to make the Carnival a great success. May God bless you! SEE YOU AT THE CARNIVAL! WORLD MISSION SUNDAY – Next Sunday we celebrate World Mission Sunday. On that day we pray espe-cially for all missionaries who spread the truth of Christ’s gospel to the farthest corners of the earth. We will also support our missionaries through our second collection. Thank you for your generosity! PRAY THE ROSARY! – During this month of the Holy Rosary it is especially worthwhile to pray the rosary as a family each day or at least a few times a week. Particularly during this election year, please pray for our elected representatives and for those who will be elected. May they always govern with a concern for the common good of all and especially the most vulnerable of our society, the unborn. SANCTUARY DECORATION COMPLETE – The beautification of our church sanctuary is now complete. The last phase was to paint the inscriptions on the two Eucharistic panels and to “marbleize” the cement pedestal and pediment of St. John Chrysostom as well as those surrounding the images of the Sacred Heart and Blessed Virgin Mary. The inscriptions read: “Lord, only you have the words of eternal life” and “They recognized Him in the breaking of the bread.” NEW IMAGE OF OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE – The magnificent new image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is now finished and is currently being framed prior to installation in her chapel on the west side of our church. As I have mentioned to you previously, the old image which has served our parish well for sever-al decades is being raffled off by the Guadalupe Society. We very much want to keep this venerable old image in safe keeping with one of our parish families. Tickets are available after Mass and the raffle will take place on her feast day, December 12th at the reception after the evening Mass that day. In Christ and St. John Chrysostom, Father Gonzalez

¡CARNAVAL PARROQUIAL HOY! - ¡Por fin está aquí! Nuestro Carnaval Parroquial tiene lugar este fin de semana en nuestro estacionamiento. Asegúrese de pasar y probar la deliciosa comida, bebidas y disfrutar de las atracciones y juegos que están disponibles. No es demasiado tarde para entrar en la rifa del Carnaval con sus maravillosos pre-mios. Compre su boleto antes del sorteo final. Los boletos están disponibles durante todo el día de hoy hasta el mis-mo instante de la rifa que tendrá lugar el domingo por la noche. No se lo pierda! Disfrute de este hermoso fin de semana con sus compañeros feligreses. En ese día oramos especialmente por todos los misioneros que difunden la verdad del Evangelio de Cristo has-ta los últimos rincones de la tierra. También vamos a apoyar a nuestros misioneros a través de nuestra segunda colecta. ¡Gracias por su generosidad!

¡OREN EL ROSARIO! - Durante este mes del Santo Rosario, vale la pena rezar el rosario en familia todos los días o, al menos, algunas veces a la semana. Particularmente durante este año electoral, ore por nuestros re-presentantes electos y por los que serán elegidos. Que siempre gobiernen con una preocupación por el bien común de todos y especialmente los más vulnerables de nuestra sociedad, los no nacidos.

DECORACIÓN DEL SANTUARIO COMPLETA - El embellecimiento del santuario de nuestra iglesia ahora está completa. La última fase fue pintar las inscripciones en los dos paneles eucarísticos y “cubrir de mármol” el pedestal de cemento y el frontón de San Juan Crisóstomo, así como los que rodean las imágenes del Sagrado Corazón y la Santísima Virgen Ma-ría. Las inscripciones dicen: "Señor, solo tú tienes las palabras de vida eterna" y "Lo reconocieron en el partir del pan".

NUEVA IMAGEN DE NUESTRA SEÑORA DE GUADALUPE - La nueva y magnífica imagen de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe ya está terminada y actualmente se está enmarcando antes de la instalación en su capilla en el lado oeste de nuestra iglesia. Como les mencioné anteriormente, la Sociedad Guadalupana está sorteando la vieja imagen que ha servido a nuestra parroquia durante varias décadas. Tenemos muchas ganas de mantener esta venerable imagen antigua en un lugar seguro con una de nuestras familias parroquiales. Los boletos están disponibles después de la misa y la rifa tendrá lugar el día de su fiesta, el 12 de diciembre en la recepción des-pués de la Misa de la noche de ese día.
