DID YOU KNOW … By Fr. Cruz There is a Christmas feast day after the Baptism of the Lord. The feast of the Presentation, also known as Candlemas, takes place on February 2nd, 40 days after Christmas. While we change to ordinary time after the Baptism of the Lord, the only indication or undertone of the Christmas season is found in the Liturgy of the Hours by the chanting of the Alma Redemptoris Mater. (Loving Mother of the Redemer) The nativity scene is also another indication that points back to the Light of the World’s birth at Christmas. (Now you do!!!)

MASS 101... St. John Chrysostom speaks of a mixing of the Body of

Christ with our body, "…in order to show the great love that He has for us. He mixed Himself with us, and joined

His Body with us, so that we might become one like a bread connected with the body."

The Baptism of the Lord. Jesus emerges from the Jordan after His Baptism, the Holy Spirit descends on Him and the voice of the Father is heard, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased. “Our goal in life is to please the Father. Is He pleased with how we speak and act towards our spouse in our sacramental marriage?

MISA 101…
