James ( The Older) was a brother of Saint John, son of Zebedeus and Salome. With his brother they began to be the First Apostles of Christ. James was one of the favorite disciples of Christ, who witnessed the resurrection of Jairus' daughter, the transfiguration on Mount Tabor, and the prayer in Gethsemane. James and John were known as people with an impetuous nature; for this reason Jesus called them “The sons of thunder”.

John the Apostle was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus. He was the son of Zebedee and Salome and brother of James, another of the Twelve Apostles. Christian tradition holds that he outlived the remaining apostles all of

whom suffered martyrdom (except Judas Iscariot) and ultimately died of natural causes

at the beginning of the second century.SANTIAGO
